    Hi Serena :)

I am so jealous of your veggies, if you ever want another garden to do you can look after ours ;)

Tadahhhhhhhhhhh the hall is clear :D but I found out the dyson has died :(

Our Miele has died today too. I let DB look at it before he left and I think he put it back together wrongly. I need to ring them and get it serviced.

Cabbage and potatoes from the garden for dinner today!!

Re:lists etc. I go off at a tangent frequently when something more pressing comes along e.g paperwork on a bathroom day. It doesn't really matter so long as we are making some progress. AS they say every little helps.

Yesterday two young men from the village arrived saying they were bored. DS3 offered them a play on the Wii. It has been ensconced in the old playroom where the cat lives. They tidied up the things on the floor, swept it and set it out so the cat has space still but the Wii can be used.
DD wanted to know if I had paid them.:rotfl:I gave them some food, they seemed happy and I have tidier room, result:j

lblb I knit for ten mins then do something else too. It sounds like you have some serious knitting to do tonight. Find a film you like, that you have seen before, so you can still follow it whilst knitting, and do just that tonight!

Good idea. Everyone (on Ravelry) says this shrug is a "quick knit", but I think their idea of a quick knit may not be mine. What are you knitting at the moment?

  • Thankyou for all the comments - I do find it satisfying to see what I have actually done - so i will keep posting - I wasn't upset Tootifruities - just wanted to ask the question....

I am not sure how much I will do now but I must clear the back door so that DS can get in when he gets home from his mate's house. Then I will be able to chuck away the recycling as well. There are actually still some more boxes in the boot of the car from 2 weeks ago when I came back from Mum's. Will send GT to get those out then charity bags can go in the boot so I can drop them off when I am out and about.

Oh and I had better see if we have anything for tea as I forgot to go shopping - was so into the sorting out....mmmmm.. there will be very very GT here if there is no food...:eek:

Me, who or what is GT?

Poohbear, did you actually know the two young men who turned up saying they were bored or was it just two random strangers? LOL!

It must be the day for Dysons to pack up, ours went this afternoon, too.

I have just had a look on their website and the hose is less than £5, rang the UK based helpline and they said it is easy to replace. Decided I would take the old one off as the cleaner is useless anyway. It came off very easily so I ordered a replacement plus a slimline crevice tool :D

Cleaned the filter while it was in bits and then S&S cloakroom afterwards!

I have spoken to Chris as well and arranged a visit so I now have 2 nice trips away to look forward to! YAY!
I am just decluttering some tea and then I will be attacking the pile of filing that has been taking over the box next to my desk after all, I do have a filing cabinet for it all to go in (hangs head in shame :( )
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

We could change the stars / hearts things.

Those of you who don't have a hope in hell of completing the stars list could post your own list of five daily things (a different five for each day, hopefully spread evenly around the different rooms of your dwelling) either the night before or first thing in the morning (we don't want any retrograde cheating!). Try and put something a little bit challenging on it.

Then we could have the black run/on piste group which would be the three levels for a star and the nursery slopes/poodling off piste group who would be awarded hearts for their efforts. You can mix and match but it's not compulsory.

What is the verdict of the jury?
