Its been a whole month today since we split, not that I am counting Heard that its supposed to take a month for every year you were a couple to get over someone so on that basis i have 5.5months left....mmmm lol.

But I have also managed a whole 2 days without any contact, i know that doesn't sound a lot but it is for me. Baby steps.

Phone staying safely at home today too. I will have to see him tomorrow for monies though.

Went round a friends last night which was a nice distraction, no plans for tonight though. Seeing my best mate that lives in London Saturday as she is here for a day, thing is i get the feeling she is gonna try get me to flirt with other men as she is a bit like that.

I just wanna be single for a long time now to heal.

I totally agree everyone else, you are doing the right thing. I know it must be so hard, but it will get easier, i promise chick. Keep staying strong.

Was a good day then stupidly decided to speak to him to check if he was coming tomorrow and ended up crying again.

Should have just text.

He asked me if any men had been round yet....none of his business but dunno why he seems to think that i am suddenly into sleeping with random men :mad:

I did say I had one handcuffed to the bed though to annoy him.

Wish he wouldn't still act as if has some right to me then when I say anything emotional he gets all no don't wanna talk about it.

He was saying bout being friends again tonight, its not gonna happen though as i just get upset/angry when we talk. He said i will be ok when i am in love with someone else.

He is such a !!!! (put what you feel here lol)

Why do they ask that? My ex did the same. Like after 17 years together I would suddenly move on in a few weeks. I sometimes think they want you to say yes so it takes the pressure off them, although personally I think if we did say yes they wouldnt like that either :mad:

From someone who is 10 months down the road, it does get easier, it was probably around 6 months that I felt that I was over the split but saying that even now I have down days.

Staying single is a really good idea, don't rush into anything. Just have fun and get over your relationship before you go into a new one. I still don't feel truly ready for a new relationship now and in a funny way quite like being single.

I know it will get better eventually just still in that dark phase. Have good and bad days, last couple of days have been very bad.

I am looking forward to shopping tomorrow though and seeing a friend tomorrow night to catch up and drink!

Yeah its still very early days hun and you will have good days and bad days.

I remember in the first few months one day posting "happy happy happy" on my Facebook, then something would happen an hour or so later and it would be "my life sucks" or similar lol
