I reiterate, Why buy something for points, know you got dtd back and immediately go and "intentionally" go "to another store STRAIGHTAWAY" just to get "points for nothing" and then gloat over it:eek:

Why go to another store for the refund, anyone trying this can be "under Tesco radar" as the details at the bottom of the receipt have all the info that Tesco need to identify the clubcard or person details and the points have been know to be taken back at a later stage:D

The person knew they were "operating out of the spirit of the points scheme" hence the need to <Quote>I then went to another store to return them as they did not mark the receipt

FloFlo pls do not condone bad practice as there are people new to Tesco points who are reading up on these Tesco offers and may believe this is normal practice on MSE :-)

Well according to the creator this website MSE was to advise people how to get 'consumer revenge.'

And anyone reading up on any offers on MSE will find this IS tame everyday practice for many MSERs. Some of which I do not condone but in this case the person has done nothing at all wrong, perhaps you need to make yourself more familiar with Tescos customer service policy and Martin Lewis ethics.

Yes thats right. I bought 10 of the Oxygene for what I thought was a price of £10.00 each but was charged £14.50. So I got total DTD of £90.00 plus 5000 clubcard points. I then went to another store to return them as they did not mark the receipt. However I was told that I had been sold the Ladies fragrance and not the mens. She said we have the mens at £8.00 so I exchanged them and got £65.00 refund and kept the points. So 10 aftershaves worth £80.00 for free, £10.00 cashback and 5000 clubcard points. Good day!!

This is your original post and the comment I made was due to what YOU said where your reasons for going to another store (see the red writing above) you said that was the reason you went to another store:confused:

Its not up to you to "physically" hand over the points back to Tesco if they asked (as your post just said). You may realise later your points are taken off you, if they do not then you are extremely lucky:p

I was referring to the double the difference refund when I mentioned the receipt. As another person had just pointed out if the sales assistants dont know what they are doing it is not my fault. And if they take my points off me I shall complain as I did buy the items to which the offer referred both times

Yes, I did notice the ethics in Martins mail that said Take things back to another Tesco "if they do not mark the Reciept" to get a refund:rotfl:

Look, I am not commenting on this anymore, from the PM I am getting many people are annnoyed with the post about taking things back and are happy that I made my comment, but each to their own, you think it is right I think it is wrong, SIMPLE Z

His actual comment is about 'screwing companies back legally' which is exactly what happened. I'm not into pming people about posts, I enjoy posting on MSE but plz, its only t'internet. Your first post towards me was very patronising and you were telling me not to post my opinion which is not up to you.:rotfl:As I said its only t'internet so no hard feelings.:p

I agree, but that is up to the cs who serves them with the refund, most of them have trouble operating the till adequately I doubt there are even a handful who are able to deduct points.

Unfortunately this is sad - but true. Glad you agree :)

I refer to your post shown below and think maybe as they say "People who live in glass houses should not throw stones"
    Post dated Dec 2008
"i have 30 to send off and want to ensure that they arrive at tesco, i read that when people send it via recorded it only takes a few days for points to go on, but recorded it about 70p per envelope!! with 30 inks it would work out to be expensive

Has anyone sent 30 recorded at one go, and if no, what is the cheapest way of sending large ink quantities ensuring that they sign for acceptance at the reccyling centre for Tesco's"

Now as others have suggested maybe we should end this discussion and I also see from your previous posts you have had financially problems. I am at present fighting 2 charging orders on my property and many other debt problems so a little light releif at Tesco takes my mind of it so maybe you can cut me some slack

If they took your points off you and you still have the items (even your now newly exchanged ones to aftershaves..) then of course that would be wrong. But I doubt they would ever do that as your buy entitled you to your points.

Its the Quote: 'return them' part of your post that irks people - why buy, to then return..? (And in another store too, which kinda shows your intention was there almost immediately. If this isn't the case, it sure looks that way i'm afraid rose)

Buying things from Tesco for points and then returning the item but keeping the points is fraudulent and deceitful behaviour, not consumer revenge. And I'm sure Tesco HO would agree in a heartbeat...

Fair comments about leaving it out now. As will always happen, some think its ok and some don't and hey - thats all perfectly fine! And of course what makes us human :)

Rose sorry to hear of your problems. Don't worry about it as you already have stress it seems :(

Whats done is done and everyone has their own morals, it doesnt matter what I or others think if you are at peace with yourself...
