Why go to another store for the refund, anyone trying this can be "under Tesco radar" as the details at the bottom of the receipt have all the info that Tesco need to identify the clubcard or person details and the points have been know to be taken back at a later stage:D
The person knew they were "operating out of the spirit of the points scheme" hence the need to <Quote>I then went to another store to return them as they did not mark the receipt
FloFlo pls do not condone bad practice as there are people new to Tesco points who are reading up on these Tesco offers and may believe this is normal practice on MSE :-)
If I read this correctly, the user has bought the items for £165, got a Double the Difference refund (£90), then, upon spotting that the receipt was not marked wen to another store to get the full £165 refunded, but instead exchanged the goods for lower-priced ones, KNOWINGLY and DELIBERATELY taking the price difference against the original price, therefore getting a further £65 refund.
If this is the case, then it's clearly fraud and should definitely be discouraged.0 -
For those of you who use your clubcard vouchers to double up. If I exchanged £10 worth of vouchers into £20, my aftershaves come to £16, what happens to the other £4, do I just loose it or do I need to purchase 3 aftershaves and pay £4 in cash? Some people have said that they have bought Lynx, is this part of the deal?0

if you dont like martins " ethics" as you say why join the site
im glad for all the things martins taught myself and my family be it on the tele or through the site and thanks to his clubcard loopholes /promotion emails ive saved lots of points and am glad i perhaps wouldnt have if i didnt know of msesaintwarwick wrote: »Have to agree with you here, if Martin hadn't mentioned about this "loophole" I wouldn't of known about it anyway as I don't shop in Tesco's except when an offer is published on here. Keep the good work up Martin in posting these "loopholes" and ignore DomtheMon.
Once again a case of not reading what I said. Jamespir judging by your post count you are an active member so will have seen it on here, and saintwarwick you too mention it being published 'on here'
Anyone with a bit of common sense knows these are not 'loopholes', check the dictionary definition. So why does Martin say that they are?
This morning he has been on GMTV spouting on about it, so you can guarantee anyone on here who wanted to take advantage will have no hope within a few hours, because there is not the supply for the number of people Martin wants it broadcast to. If he had his way there would be messages going out to every person in the land. Thats great when it is good advice eg council tax refunds etc, but ultimately those who scour sites like this, PTS and ukhotdeals are searching out the deals, its a bit of a game, and we like to take advantage. Supply is not always enough for us, so why should we want it being flagged up to every Tom, !!!!!! and Harry to reduce supply even more?
Oh why am I bothering arguing the point? Some people just don't have the sense to see that in cases like this, as members of these forums, we are seeking out limited supply bargain offers and by mailing it to thousands and talking about it to millions, Martin is making it much more difficult for us - and thats members who actively read forums like these - to seek out these products.
But to many here Martin is god and can do no wrong. Hey ho you will eventually realise what I am saying as Martin's mailing list expands and we end up with millions persuing offers intended for the few thousand..... and empty shelves everywhere :mad:0 -

Not sure on the Lynx, sorry, but yes you do need to spend the £20 on products as per the double up, otherwise people would be spending it on food etc.0 -

Of course it is fraud. The problem is that people who do this sort of thing always hide behind others negligence to defend their actions. Its why we have a society where if you drop a wallet with cash in it you have hardly any chance of getting it back because those with no morals will say 'well you shouldn't have lost it'
Refund and Replace was a classic. Policy allowed you to go in and buy every item on the shelf and get the money back so get them for free. But the policy was never there for this sort of behaviour. Instead of knowingly buying one or two some idiots would go round stores clearing the lot. Any surprise when they pulled the policy?
Greed - it has a lot to answer for.0 -

Interesting to read the debate here and I don't agree that this is a loophole but Martin is a journalist so he likes to big things up a bit!
Clubcard points were gone for a few months now they are back in a big way. Has it occurred to anyone that the reason promotions might finish earlier than expected is because the stock with points attached has gone?
What I mean is it is possible that Tesco has set a budget for these promotions and once the agreed number of points available have been claimed, they withdraw the offer. Thats what happens elsewhere and is perhaps one of the fundamental changes to the relaunched scheme.
To the interenet community this site and others are very important - not so to most of the rest of the population.

You can use the remaining £4 on skincare, bathcare or suncream to make up the £20. My wife bought 2 Revlon Mascara sticks on BOGOF.0
