    I've been Money Tipped!

Not at all. If you actually READ my earlier post I explain that I have no axe to grind with contributing MSE/PTS/UkHotDeals members, the problem is (getting repetitive but the people above clearly are more intent on being provocative than reading what I said) when it is put out in an email and sent to thousands of people it raises awareness to extreme levels. It is also then in an easy to forward/read format and I have absolutely no doubt some minions at Tesco would be forwarding them to HQ for brownie points.

Why would they pull it early? Well you tell me, but they did with the Cava and they did with the olive spread, both of which were plugged in last weeks email and yet had been mentioned on here/pts/ukhotdeals previous to that!

Do you really think Tesco have been turning a blind eye to these threads for years? Or been using them to get more custom? When I took part in the Beef in gravy, many hailed it as a fab marketing ploy on Tescos behalf.

It was also rumoured that the clubcard scheme would end as so many took part...instead Tesco sold a pile of stock and got national coverage about the deal in Guardian, Sun, Mirror, Times-would have hit a lot more people than Martin's email;)

Tesco are in it to make money and they know that by adding extra points onto items, it'll mean they shift stock. My guess is this maybe what happened with the Cava-more people came into the stores to look at empty shelves, but went out having spent on other shopping

Yes Martin is advertising it to the millions. GOOD! Awareness is raised. GOOD!

I'm fed up of telling different people about the Clubcard deals scheme-no-one really knows what good deals can be had on there and Martin continuing to flag it in his email means it goes into more people's psyche-more people can benefit from a cheap day out here or RAC cover there. Those who benefit from holidays and cars are few and far between. For some families, the only way they'll be able to enjoy a fun day out this summer will be by buying a bottle or 2 of perfume by doubling up their vouchers.

If you have been trawling for these deals, then you would have had a heads up from both PTS and MSE (as I presume you only knew about this deal as someone else told you?) You would have got as much as you wanted before it went in the email. Those who found out about the deal via the email will pick up a bottle or 2 if they can find them, and be on their merry way until the next offer comes along handed to them on a plate. Fine by me. :D

Just got back from the Tesco in Stratford with 2 bottles of Lanvin Oxygen and 2 bottles of Benetton Cold Homme which cost me £32.00 but rewarded with 2,000 clubcard points which equates to £80.00 of rewards. Bargain me thinks and it shows there is stock still available. Point proved. :D

Stock is available in one or two stores yes. What would you have thought if you'd been to several stores and found no stock as many have today?

Just went to Tesco at Warrington and priced the Oxygene which has now gone up to £14.50.

The womens always was £14.50. It is the mens (Lancome Oxygene Homme) which is £8, assuming you can find any!

You're correct Flo, just the normal spend points get doubled - not bonus points

Hi, you were probably in there same time as me. I am kicking myself for not buying some but didn't have my vouchers on me ... am tempted to go back again tomorrow but worried about Global Gathering traffic! Oh well better luck next time! Was glad to see that there was plenty to be had though as went to get some wine too and only managed to find a bottle of white that only had 100 points instead of 150!

I got a bargain because I was able to via Martin's website something I wouldn't have known about without his website. Had I not got them it would not have bothered me. You don't alwways get what you want in life.
