Had £12 taken out a couple of days ago from a firm calling themselves NATIONAL MAGAZINE and really have no idea who, what or when which is frankly terrible on my part! Have now cancelled but have a feeling that it is too little too late. Does anyone have a clue what it may have been for/from/because??

Was it for SHE magazine?...Nat Mag are the ones listed on my confirmation letter?

I notice a few people have had problems where the magazine companies have noticed if you've taken too many trial subscriptions and just cancelled, so I wondered if we could use our collective wisdom to work out how many is too many.

If you're one of the people who's had a problem - how many subscriptions have you taken out, and over what period? Did you have more than one trial subscription to the same magazine? Is it one particular subscription company that's causing all the problems, or is it more widespread?

It feels a bit like 'credit ratings' for magazines.....

I got a letter from Glamour but I haven't had a Glamour subscription for 3 years & the last one was for 18 months so you figure that one out?

:mad: No Marie Claire Aveda for me despite being quick off the mark with my application. In the post this morning in a very small envelope arrived a tester set of something I'd never heard of that smells ghastly. 3 x 20ml bottles.

Oh well, win some, lose some.

No mag yet, either.

I got the mag and the same Elemis set as you by the sound of it - both arrived this morning.

It can't be anywhere near the same value as the Aveda stuff.

Not chuffed, but not a lot we can do about it really.

1st post,from subscibing to marie claire, i got a Elemis set this morning was not happy because its sample sizes and working it out on the Elemis website it is about |£15 worth and we were promised a £42 Aveda set so i e-mailed them today , if i get a response will let you know.

update: they will send me a body shop gift instead asap, but they want the Elemis sent back to them. I will let you know what im sent , when it arrives.
