ive had a tatler subscription for the past 4 months and ive never received any of the free gifts which is a shame as they are quite good!

Still not recieved any free gift from Marie Claire.... Aveda or otherwise.....

Looks like quite a few people have already received their gift. I emailed the subscription company and got the standard "it has been dispached... wait for 28 days" response. My 28 days are almost up.... its been 2 months now since I placed my order. Is this what its normally like to receive a free gift or a Marie Claire particularly poor?

I signed up to Marie Claire when they had the Aveda offer on, which I seem to think was early May. I didn't get the Aveda set (not come accross anyone who did yet!!) but did get an Elemis gift pack instead - got it about 2 - 3 weeks ago within a couple of days of getting first mag off them.

Not a big fan of Elemis and the gift pack is what I would class as 3 x sample sizes (but full their full size stuff is expensive). I have seen them being sold on ebay for £3.99. :eek:

Not that impressed, but thats the chance you take and you can't win them all I guess!! Will be cancelling the sub after trial period. Hope I have better luck next time lol!!! :rotfl:

I received 2 lots of Elemis sets a couple of months ago and presumed that I had double subbed (!) but going by BlueCow's post I am now thinking that the Aveda set that never showed up was substituted for the Elemis. Not impressed at all.

Think I might give it all a break for 3months or so, unless something amazing gets offered of course, I am all subbed out and have enough mags to keep me busy and more christmas pressies than I have got people to give to!

You can always phone up and request the free gift and they'll send it out to you. The reason why subscribers often do not receive the gift is because we're usually getting the magazine at a discounted price whereas at the newsagent you're paying full price - so I've been told by customer services. They usually send out another copy of the magazine with the gift included rather than just the gift itself. HTH.
