    Morning all!

Back from my mad ebaying frenzy. Listed 21 items and I'm only halfway through one box - have two more boxes to do! WIll do it bit by bit this week. Hopefully should all be listed by the weekend. Just hope it doesn't all sell at once or I'll need a trailer to get it all to the post office!:rotfl:We are decorating the kitchen over the august bank holiday so are hoping to raise enough money to buy a new kitchen ceiling light and roller blind.

Maman - a 20 day holiday?! Anywhere nice? And, more importantly, can I come!?:rotfl:

RA, Bis and GC - good to hear from you all. You lot (and MP of course!) are my inspiration!

I'm off for another cake decorating lesson today with Mums friend. We have volunteered my Dad to have Piglet whilst we are there as he is off work today. Don't know if he knows yet!:rotfl: Me and Mum went buying cakey stuff on Saturday. Its nice to have a new hobbie...and to be sober enough to actually do it decently!

Well, I'd best be off. Hubby is having a carp day already (had to jump start the car at 6am this morning and he's just hurt his hand on his lorry) so am going to boil a piece of bacon for his tea. Its his favourite so should cheer him up!

    Have good days all

    Miss P

    Morning all,

I couldn't post over the weekend as I was visiting my friend and my parents in my home town of Manchester (I now live in Swindon, Wilts).

Had an up and down weekend. On Friday I thought it was a great idea to scoff half a litre of voddy and not eat any dinner. Can't remember going to bed, but I do remember waking up early on Saturday feeling like utter !!!!. I could barely eat a piece of toast, but I forced one down nevertheless.

Felt like crap during Saturday and then on Saturday evening I was a bit more restrained, "only" drinking half a bottle of Pimms (instead of polishing off the whole bottle) and my friend and I cooked our favourite dish of sea bass stuffed with herbs with garlic potatoes and salsa verdi (YUM YUM YUM :D). So that cheered me up. (And seeing Bruno at the cinema cheered my up too - OMG I laughed so much!! But it is filthily rude, so a word of warning to those of a more sensitive disposition!!!)

I felt tons better yesterday as I hadn't got blotto on Sat evening and as I had to drive back down to Swindon last night, I didn't drink any booze yesterday at all. Yeah!!

So that's 1 AFD in August so far!! :T

I am not joining in the predicted or anticipated AFD's for August, I will just quietly consider them in my head and post about how I am doing, if that's ok. It's my first month seriously focussing on cutting down/cutting out the booze and I don't want to set myself up for a fall before I've started! As the maxim goes, I will have to take it one day at a time.

So I am feeling good this morning, I had a healthy breakfast and I have brought lots of healthy foods with me to work too.

    Have a super day everyone.

    Hugs
    Caz

Pathetic attempt over the weekend, haven't had an AF day since Thursday. This is where I lose my way and the old pattern re-emerges. Got to put a stop to it tonight.

You can always start the month again, or even the day again.
If you are having a bad day, you can put a halt to it.
It is never too late to stop drinking - 1 day AF is better than no days.

I know for me, I found it difficult to stop the pattern, so I needed to radically change my thinking and behaviours.
My efforts in the past had not worked and repeating the same things was never going to work. That's the thing with stopping/cutting down - we try the same things again and again without success. In other areas of our life, if something doesn't work we try something different.

Done my back in today getting the beef out the oven. Not very macho so may have to tell people I caught the meat bare handed and had to wrestle it to the ground :p

    Morning all

DC, do you want to be my AF buddy for this evening? I'm the master of AF crap'ness and it must stop today. Hope you're okay? xx

FUAS, good luck for the job interview today, what's the job?

Budgie, when are you in London, we should all do a coffee meet up, there are loads of people that can get to London!! You've chosen a nice hotel, you shouldn't have any problems there :) MMMMMmmmmmmm Brick Lane  xx

Debtmonkey, well done, you are doing fantastically, remember to never become complacent. Good luck x

Caz, onwards and upwards is the key I think, today's a new day, let us both try not to spoil it x

WB, hows the tooth or non-tooth? How's the tablets kicking in, are they making you feel drowsy? x

Eselt, hope you're feeling better now? xx

T2GU, sorry to hear your sister is emirgrating, how exciting for her though!

Maman, where are you going on your holiday, lucky you!!

YM, I hurt my back getting something out the oven once, I actually burnt my arm getting a pizza out, fell back onto the washing machine door that was open and snapped it clean off.....my pride was hurt too, and my pocket, cost £50 to have that door fixed!! Hope you feel better soon xx

Fay, waves to you hun, good luck for your appointment xx

Miss P, we want to see pictures of decorated cakes when you've done it!!

BHB, glad to hear things are moving on for you both now, hopefully you can get the funeral over with soon and Mrs BHB will be able to start to move on. Where did you buy that AF beer from and which one was it? I remember you saying it tasted 'almost' like the real thing....what real thing did it taste like, i.e. which brand?

FH, your Centerparcs trip sounds great, hope you enjoy it!

Well doing as carp as ever, feel like sh*t today, nearly confessed all to OH last night but something happened and the moment went. I've got one last chance to change it all and then I think I'll have to tell him. I'm thinking we might go away on holiday in a couple of weeks when OH is off work, just a UK holiday camp thing but I think this will help me stay AF because I won't be able to hide the drink anywhere. I did an AF UK holiday in 2006 and it wasn't too painful, in fact it was great waking up unhungovered and going for brekkie nice and early and being able to jump in the car and drive straight after breakfast....hmm maybe I'll see if I can book a last minute deal?

Right, got housework to do today, lots of it, I did nothing last week as DD1 is away and I've got the 2 little'uns that won't let me do anything. She comes back tomorrow and I have decorating planned so NEED to clear and clean today, got a whole host of films for the kids to watch, they're watching Kung Fu Panda now and then I've got all 5 Indiana Jones lined up after, I've even bought snacks so I can get as much done as possible. I MUST NOT SIT ON HERE ALL DAY :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Chow now :D

Hi Jo, it is a Team Leader post for something I already do but in a different location. I work in a service quite similar to the one you have been in contact with. Hence what I do?

Felt mega nervous this morning but have calmed down now after breathing slower in and out

Thanks for asking hun; still v sore & yes the Big Brown Tablets are making me really tired & grotty (but at least not sicky); had to have a siesta yesterday like an Old Person & still slept like a log!! (weird dreams! an endless one that could be made into a horror film I was pleased to wake up; than in the next one Neil Sedaka rang & left me a message that he wanted me to sing in concert with him. That was even more horrible :rotfl::rotfl:(Neil Sedaka?!)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:This could only happen to you, I'm sure! ;)

IF YOU'RE READING THIS NOW I HOPE ALL THAT TIDYING UP HAS BEEN DONE....:naughty:
