Can't believe I didn't drink last night, felt like carp this morning and took me a good few seconds to remember what happened last night when I woke up! I was in a tremenously bad mood though  tremendously bad  it seems to have worn off a bit now but feel v.v. irritated today. Got so much to do and have no energy to do it, just a normal day then

Hey Jo. Well done for an AF friday. I had one too. Didn't really want to drink last night, but felt a bit restless. Developed a mild headache about 10-ish. Don't know if that just my body noticing a bit of a change in intake chemicals, or something else (might have been a bit dehydrated).

So went to bed and watched a DVD.

    So, this is day 6!

Seems like a lovely day outside so I'm going to get the bike out and head into the hills down towards your neck of the woods again. Going to try and actually make it to Leek this time, so that should be about 80 miles in total. Going to get some pictures of those crags because they looked awesome last time I passed them.

If anyone sees a sweaty fat bloke in blue combats and a hi-viz jacket in the Cheshire / Derbyshire / Staffordshire area, give me a wave.

I know they're Easter eggs but looked cool!

Jo, you seem to know exactly what I mean. Rather than beat myself up over all this I'll see what I can do over the next week. If I can deal with some AFDs then great. If not then I will make a whole new start on 22nd. Visiting the family this weekend so it can vary between fun and relaxing and very stressful, depending.

I then have a few tough days to get through for work and then away for a fun weekend with friends. And then take myself in hand after that because the issues we have with stuff at home should be over by then and we will be able to cook at home and not eat takeaways and restaurant meals each night, which certainly doesn't help my wine consumption! I've offered to drive to the restaurant tomorrow so that might be my first one. And there's no reason today can't be either. No promises to you lot on this though. so there!

    Thanks for the understanding.

WBF, most of us know what you are feeling on here, we are united by the same thing, though most of us probably thought we were the only ones going through this before posting on here. I am not labelling anyone an alcoholic or any other label, but when you are concerned about your level of drinking you will find that you will have the same symptoms as others that are concerned about their drinking. I have gone too far down the road to turn back to be a 'social/normal' drinker and I know that, some have sucessfully capped their drinking levels to one that they are happy with. It's all about trial and error and eventually we will all get to where we want to be :)

Don't make promises to anyone, just do what you can and deal with each situation that arrives seperately to the last. You will be fine, just don't beat yourself up :)

Ok, so where is everyone  hope you're not all off out enjoying yourselves too much :naughty:;)

OH went out last night, have no idea what time he came home but would imagine around the 3/4am mark, he was asleep on the sofa when I got up and then went off to bed. I just sauntered into the bedroom to see if he was getting up at any point today and said that he doubts it as he feels like he's poisoned....so glad to not be feeling like that today!

Afternoon all, spent a hideous amount of money in Sainsburys and am now back after stopping at the offy to get some electric and nowt else, bells are tolling softly, am off to make a sausage, chickpea and tomato thing to have with jacket pots, then doing a recipe out of the Sainsburys mag for thick pancakes with fried bananas, melted nutella and creme fraiche  with toffee and honeycomb ice cream, who needs  :D
