Another AF night for me, so that's my running total up to 2 this month. So far so good. Not really fancied a beer yet.

Gave blood tonight, so trying to get lots of tea down whilst relaxing and reading. Nice...

:T well done you, GP. I really wish I could give blood but I pass out whenever I go...it's so annoying cos I'm fit & healthy in all other ways but try pumping some blood out of my system & I come over all Tony Hancock ;)

I must have wide veins or something. Mrs GP gets asked up first, has the iron test, gets a bed, starts donating.....all before they even shout my name out.

I've was done, up and having my tea and bisuits just as she was finishing. Either my veins are wide or hers are abnormally small.

I've given a sample to be tested for a platelet count...they tell me that 1 in 14 people has a count high enough to be able to donate platelets rather than blood...involves them taking blood from you, stripping out the platelets and then putting the blood back into your body.

Much more regular schedule (10 - 12 times a year rather than 3 times a year), but the donation takes up to 2 hours at a time. I suppose if I'm able to give it, then I should.

ps. Fay no blowing away in the night!

DC, hope you and DS recover soon.

PIR, glad to hear new job bedding in.

GP, well done to you and lady wife on blood donation.

jo, in my experience (in the dim and distant) climbing on real rocks can be easier than on walls but I don't know of too many in London!

Ashamed to say not AF tonight. It was my plan but OH offered me a glass and.....a f*ck it night ensued.

    Congratulations to all AF tonight.:T:T:T

Off early tomorrow, YM, hope your incident won't stop me crossing channel tomorrow. See you all when I get back, I'll be thinking of you.

Have been distracted because I had my first disaster on Ebay tonight. Someone got my item for 99p. Worth £80 to buy new. Local pick too. The cheek of it!! I don't think I could do that!

Off to bed to read my book and try and calm down.

    Much love X
    Need to start again :o
