  • When not drinking, I worry less what people think about me (It is NONE of my business what people think about me) and don't try as much to be someone I am not.

Great post GC, my Granddad once told me not to give a hoot what other people think about me, because they are usually to busy worrying what people think of them !

GG- Hugs, and Caz, thinking of you today.

    Happy to report 3/30.

He shoots ... he scores! Hit the hat-trick last night, with 3 consecutive AFDs.

Not intending to stay dry today, but will limit the intake, aim is for no more than 7, and be really chuffed with 5 or less.

I just caught up with last nights posts too! Morning everyone!

Was AF last night although I nearly gave in because OH was drinking wine. Glad I didn't though. Got to pop into town soon and am going to get Season 4 of Sex in the City. My OH doesn't like the programme and so I bought the dvds and watch it while Im cooking in the kitchen. Just need season 4 though! I'll watch it this afternoon when Im cooking chilli for our tea.

    Best wishes Fay and Cazza.

Well done everyone! A good start to the month! havent been on here for a few days as busy with work etc but YM, please put me down for 3AF! Feeling pleased and very positive! Husband going shopping for weekend today and asked if he should put wine on the list - I said no! Would like to be able to be almost AF, but able to share a bottle of wine on the occasional weekend - rather than my usual approach of "oblivion or nothing".
As I heard someone say on the radio, who had given up drinking years ago, she was "sick and tired of waking up sick and tired".... I think we can all understand that feeling.
Good luck everyone and BE STRONG.

That's such a good thought to remember - thanks!

    Have a great Friday all!

Cazz: so sorry about your friend, I hope the funeral is a celebration of her short life.

GG: As others have said, enjoy your freedom, your money and nobody messing up your house - you are young. :j I have 3 teenaged DDs who I adore, but who give me huge, huge heartache and cost a fortune. And then Mr PIR is a prize tosseur, but I'm stuck in this situation because I won't jeopardise the security for my (ungrateful) DDs.

But all will change for me with the NEW JOB on Monday :j Oh yes

  • Morning all,:hello:

It is DS2's birthday tomorrow. He will be 8:eek:. He has been counting down the days for the last month:rotfl::rotfl:. He came bounding into my room this borning screaming " its my birthday tomorrow" . He is just one big bubble of excitement . He will be exhausted by tomorrow. As it is his birthday tomorrow I shall not be drinking tonight or tomorrow .... don't want to risk any hangovers etc on his " big" day.

For all of you who remained AF last night ... this is how you should be feeling this morning ... . If not this is How you could feel ...
