The official handing over ceremony will commence at 11:59 pm and I will then be honoured with the scoring sash for the month of September. If anyone else wants to join in I will be posting a list of runners and riders tomorrow morning ( Not this early though

You are right and the supermarket deals this week are just silly, did I see three cases of premium lager for under £20 on one supermarket ad ? Compared to the expense of J20 or such like.
Jo, well done, sorry I wasn't around as your AF buddy last night, I was fighting the bells, nearly gave in after Sunday roast around 7pm. Found Minstrels instead. Other alternative was ice cream, stella and Mr T's cherryliscious really don't mix.
So I've made it to 11/14. As FUAS says with one under my belt I feel it's easier to look ahead. There are two cans in the fridge and I want them to stay there.DC.

Morning all :hello:
Well I bought a bottle last night & had 2 glasses then went to bedI think this is the least I've drunk on a weekend, nevermind a bank holiday weekend, in ages!
What I can't work out is why I feel worse in the morning after drinking 2 glasses (about half a bottle) as opposed to when I drink the whole thing?@ LBM = £15,872.65, now £10,819.82AF Jan = 7/? So often when I start again its usually because everywhere I turn there is another wine rack...or boxes of 18 cans of the latest brew on bogoff !!:o:o:o:o:o
Totally agree. Lovely shiny bottles everywhere with tempting special offers, half price etc. I really hope these new government initiatives will stop this. But I doubt it.Total AFD's May-December 2009: 178 ie 73% of total days (245 days)

Hi all...looks like I have some reading to do! Well....went 'dan sarf' (!) & saw my sister & then to Norfolk to see my best m8 who is now a proud father to 2 8 day old twin boys! Very very cute but MY GOD how much work are newborns??! In a selfish way makes me glad I've no kids as me & other 1/2 can't even look after ourselves!
Did have a few drinks on Friday night with friends (wetting babies head & all that!)....I did start with some resolve & kept 'most' of it (did not go too silly!) but went to bed at 2-30 a.m....not done that for a while! Nest day up at 0800 felt crap but not as crap as a I would normally be as had 5 AF days for liver to recover before!!!
Last couple of nights had a few in front of tv (silly really, only cos other 1/2 is away...how childish am I??!) but again not as much by a long way as usual. AF today & for another 'stint'....want to have 10 days in a row as not done this for ages!
My foot is 90% recovered from it's gout (!!)....still amazed that a very painfull (in 4 places on one foot!) attack was nearly healed in only THREE days....primarily by herbal remedies....
Did not acheive my target (21 days then 19 days!) BUT am not beating myself up...14 days (inc 2day) AF is a WHOLE 1/2 month with no alcohol & on other days did not increase ammount so in reality consumed nearly 1/2 the previous months worth of alcohol & had some good AF breaks for the liver! By increasing target to 18 days it will be a good incentive...must be 4 years or so since I've had so many AF days in a month!
Have a good day all!0
