    Hi all

Enjoying reading the thread at the mo :)

Laughed and gagged at GG's Mr bus poopants story _pale_

9 days AF on the trot, am feeling hugely restless, can barely keep still at work or at home. Biking around like a lunatic, zooming past lycra-clad prats on racers, little legs going like the clappers. Chain fell off last night just as I was going past the Emirates just at the end of the Arsenal game (woo-hoo!), nearly slalomed into a load of Celtic fans. Am not normally so full of beans; Don't know if it's the AF-ness or the coffee or something else but it's a bit odd. I actually feel a bit bonkers. Wonder if it will last...?

Anyway YM, put me down for 30 for September. Aiming high!

Oh and Jo, I took some young folks of my acquaintance to Paradise Park last week and had a great time, crazy golf 'n all. so cheers for the recommendation a while back.:T

    :jjumpy HS :j

'tis on order. I'd forgotten she wrote Rachels Holiday, I remember howling with laughter over that book, years ago. That's about rehab funnily enough. Bye again. leaving work now!

I just had a look at her website and she has been through rehab after a suicide attempt so knows what she's writing about. It seems to have been after successfully overcoming her alcoholism that she really started to write and became a bestselling author in her thirties. Too late for me, then:rolleyes:.

YM: please put me down for 26 AFDs for September, ta muchly.

Right, I'm off to unpack and do the washing.

PIR, don't bother reading back, in a nutshell it's all about monkeys, giraffes and food :D hope you enjoyed Paris? It's my fav place ever!

Gromit, thanks for the links, It's practically half the price on Amazon, though you can get cashback on Tesco don't forget ;) I've ordered it in the library earlier, but thinking I might buy it off Amazon as I have a few vouchers I've earned doing surveys......I was saving it for Crimbo but as I blew the lot on an ear thermometer I think I've only got about a fiver left, I just can't be trusted

WB, your winerack moving the furniture made me giggle :rotfl: x

Off to paint the kitchen, yes it's true!

ETA: just seen your post JJ707070, hope you're okay? x

ETA again: HS, just seen your post too, good to have you back posting :) glad you enjoyed Paradise Wildlife Park, something for everyone huh? x

You can also get This Charming Man on www.greenmetropolis.com. This is a site where you sell the books you no longer want and other people buy them. You can look at everyone who has a particular book for sale and what condition they are in too. Just click "book search" and type in the title (you don't have to put the author's name as well) The paperbacks are £3.75 including postage.

I may pop down my local library this afternoon to see if they have it before buying it.:p

    Hi again,

Beleive someone (was it YM) said he (She?) had the house to themselves & usually embarks on a '12 can binge' sarting at noon! Well...I'd have done that in the past! G/F not here till Tuesday pm (bliss-REMOTE CONTROL IS MINE!) so previously I've got the old scotch/voddie out.... got chilled out in my PJ'S/dressing gown...& watched crap tv/played computer games drinking most of the day.....(how sad!)...

Today not even tempted! In fact might even go 'down south' (!) to see sister!

The fact that my leg is still a bit sore would make me MORE likely to want to 'drown my sorrows' but not this time...

has the boy turned a corner??!

I hope so, though remember that you did a week or more AF quite recently, and then had a binge before going AF again.
Stay AF for a couple of months or so - that is turning the corner. Sobriety is day in day out, continuous period of being AF.

    Just don't drink today
