    Hi All!

GP what on earth have you got to be despondent about? I don't remember if you had a target but with just a little more effort (3 days) you could have cut your drinking by half this month. I think that deserves :T and well done on the biking and good luck for 6th too.

I'm not fessing up to the age thing, just say I'm old enough to be maman to most of you sweet young things (but not you winebox and molly!). Excessive drinking is obviously not just confined to yoof.

    11AF please Miss P.
  • Morning All :D

Just popped in to say that I have completely lost count Miss P. I was OK up until the weekend, but have definitely blasted my target out of the water and gone straight past :o

Definitely gonna be a bit more sensible next month, and now about to get back into the swing of work so hopefully that will help next week.

Hope everyone is OK, haven't had a chance to catch up yet.

Now off to the abattoir with a couple of lambs, then back to take a goat - must collect some mint for some sauce ..... guess whats for sunday lunch

Busy busy ..... though was in the pool at 10.45 last night in the dark - it was gorgeous !:cool::cool::cool::cool:

    Best Wishes

I sense lots of positive vibes for September, I'm actually looking forward to it.
Three cans of stella, lots of chat last night, had a lovely meal, even if I say so myself :). There is a big difference between me sitting on sofa (alone) watching dire TV, cradling a lager and social family chatting with a meal and few drinks.

Also interested in why we tend to get into the habit of having a drink whilst cooking. I used to love cooking for DH, was always appreciative. Where as the boys eat because they they eat at this age ! Getting back into it again though.

Well I succeeded in putting my foot down about buying vodka last night. Got 2 bottles of wine though, and OH got a half bottle of whiskey, coke and 4 cans of beer (for our friend).

The friend had a couple of glasses of wine, I had 4/5 glasses of wine, and OH had the rest, staying up on his own till 4am. I didn't sleep much as I was annoyed at him staying up drinking on his own. Then we had a small row about it. This is why it's rubbish innit!

  • Oh dear.

Had a REALLY bad night last night, alcohol-wise. I can't really understand how I could let myself go absolutely bananas with the vodka.

I scoffed well over half a bottle and got p*ssed as a tit, as I hadn't eaten (just like old times....). Then we got a takeaway because I insisted on getting one (even though we are trying to watch the pennies) and I ended up spilling it all down my top while I was eating it, because I was all over the place drunk (just like old times.....).

Slept in the spare room on my own and had a terrible night and I feel dreadful this morning - thick head, very annoyed with myself, sickie tummy, aching (just like old times....)

WHAT THE F*CK AM I DOING??????

For the first time ever, OH had stern words with me this morning, as she was so disappointed. I don't blame her.

Whilst that was only my 2nd day in 15 that I have had alcohol, I'm frightened by how easily and seamlessly I slipped back into my old vodka routine. I just didn't give a toss last night.

Of course I am now resolving never to do it again, but I resolved that over 2 weeks ago and I've had 2 slip-ups already. I'm off to another AA meeting tonight to talk/think it over.

I hope you all had a better evening than me!

    Hugs,
    Caz
