HB - No rules - except perhaps............. take each day as it comes, breathe in and out slowly and try to be nice to yourself.
On here you might find alot of honesty, bucket loads of support, a fair bit of madness and hopefully a bit of clarity.
And a fair bit of madness - and YM - well done for offering for Sept -

YM - well done on volunteering for September...I'll be MORE than happy to hand over the reins!!
Honeybear (and all other newbies!) - welcome! No rules around here, just do what you feel you need to do. As already mentioned we have cutter downers and giver uppers. Like Sam, I'm trying to give up as alcohol was really starting to rule (and ruin) my life.
I'm finding it hard to keep up with the thread - its so busy!!!
Catch up later

Doesn't sound lame at all. I have decided to stop altogether. I only really used to drink on Fridays and Saturdays but occasionally would indulge midweek if watching football or going out with mates. I could never just have one or two though and would always end up putting away double figures in pints. In a nutshell i decided to stop altogether because i am a bit of a **** when drunk and the things i was doing could have made me lose all i have. So far done 8 days AF and feeling absolutely awesome.

. Terrible affliction to have. Hope you recover one day
I have discovered a serious side effect to this not drinking. Has anyone else found themselves singing a song by an Australian pop superstar. Washing up this morning I was singing " Too many broken hearts " by Jason Donovan. !!!!!! was that all about
