I too had a strange night of broken sleep, probably why I don't feel so sprightly.

I secretly admit to liking winter too - as long as I am inside ! I don't mind wind and rain, but it's those freezing cold mornings when the sky is sparkling blue I hate ! Weird I know...

Flylady - tried that, just about managed a shiny sink a couple of times. Hotspots just accumulated in different places. These Summer holidays just don't make for Flyladying with these two teenagers thwarting my every attempt ! I am actually looking forward to having a chance to reorder the chaos and resume decorating - too many near misses with paint pots when the children are off.

Have to say I have a whole fridge of lager and wine, really didn't bother me last night, and won't for the next 6 !

That's really odd - I slept badly too. Went off early enough (11ish) but woke up repeatedly from about 2.30 onwards, kept looking at the clock and it'd be half an hour since I last looked.

Didn't drink last night. I've worked out that if I don't start I can keep it under control (if that makes sense.) It's once I've had one.

I had not a good nights sleep too!

I was woken up at the magic time of 3.25am by my dog barking, Went downstairs and he was curled up in his basket looking at my as if to say "what??"

Anyway, not groggy today as AF last night and will be tonight too, like a 10,000m race coming on strong over the last half of the month! Won't make 30 days but will make a few more than 9 days!

Morning all

I slept like a log . Last night was not too bad and now the first one is under the belt should be OK for today. As Graham says " I will not drink today". I am trying not to look to far ahead and taking it one day at a time.

I love Winter and Autumn is my favorite season. All the leaves and everything . Getting all mauldling now

Going to take Girls bike riding today and to be honest will be glad when school comes around so I do not have to watch Hannah Montanah any more . I am so totally Hannahed out !

Maman - buying alcohol in supermarket is easy and normal so its not noticed, when I lived in a village and avoided the supermarket only to end up at the shop later on - my wine buying was talked abbout at school! We live in a town now, not served by same people everyday. (Not that I buy it everyday anymore )

The pub issue is more that I'd be out with folks from work as I don't know any other folks here - and as I drink too much - it would be round work in a flash.
So drinking in secret at home is the only option - and that's a recipe for disaster.

I was AF yesterday too - hoorah! I'm on my 9th consecutive AFD today Un-bloody-believeable!

AA meeting last night was good. I even got a couple of hugs! I am starting to feel more comfortable and was happily chatting with people last night. Very encouraging to be in a semi-social situation, sober and chatting to virtual strangers. Nice feeling. I did another share too and I am pleased that I was brave again.

There's lots of stuff from my past I haven't talked about yet and I think it will take a lot of time to open up about that stuff. I've been to some dark dark places, all fuelled by drink, over the years.

ANWAY.......... onto happier things........;)

I have to agree with Miss P - I'm an Autumn/Winter girl. I just LOVE it. Bring on the cold weather :snow_laug :snow_laug :snow_laug

Big big test tonight, going to the pub to watch the football (Celtic v Arsenal) with a few lads from my footy team who are big drinkers. Feeling confident now but have a feeling i will start to struggle come 7:30. Come on Arsenal!

Yes I am suffering terribly for the holiday torments. My 3 Boys are all covered in scratches:mad: . DS3 bit DS2 yesterday and so got a severe telling off . He sulks terribly when told off so went up to lay on his bed and promptly fell asleep. This was at 2pm .... he slept until 6pm:eek: . When he got up he thought it was morning and asked for some weetabix:rotfl:.

I am at work now as DH is on holiday this week so will have a relatively easy week:D Although do plan to take Thurs & Friday off so we can do something nice as a family:D:D

It is already very hot here ....... not good when you work in an office with no air conditioning :eek:
