Flyby lady is fab but I find reading it is enough for me :)

I also downloaded that book you were all talking about - lazy and not very DFW but I thought it would be worth it - about to stick on the fire and french student back tonight again.

House is still a bomb site? How?????

Still not meal planned - need to get on with that before I get sucked into sitting beside the fire

Well done AF peeps - x

  • Well done Fay.

I was going to invite you for a virtual walk on my beach, but not sure it would be appropriate if you are wearing PJ's and Pigtails.

Well done Fay, good night. Like the thinking about pigtails being too silly a look. And was imagining us all in PJs holding up off licences to get our booze. Ho hum

I've managed another one here too. That's 7/8 for me please, the marvelous Miss P. Early bells were load but faded by about 8pm.

    Sleep well everyone.

    night chaps

Sure Maman will pop on in a mo waves hello x

Mulling the idea of popping into our local alcohol advice place - the summers really set me back - and I knew it would - dunno if I can keep on the straight and narrow without some kinda professional input - just not sure what to do. The winter looms - (sorry to be so meladramatic) and living alone worries me - thank goodness for all of you. Where I live NOTHING is a secret or confidential - one of the reasons I dont drink really when out as its talked about for months/years afterwards. Doing it all in secret though, even though no one can see - is NOT the way forward. I need to find some kind of resolution to this broken brain/ secret addiction of mine.

:hello: Hi fay and anyone else who had a successful AF night tonight :T

Please don't start talking about winter and fires and socks and sweaters and boots  we're expecting summer to arrive down here this week!! Don't people notice when you buy lots of booze in the shops, fay, or is it just the pub that's a problem?

Pagan, I think you are being incredibly strict with yourself but if needs must I wish you good luck!

    6AF please Miss P.

    'night all :A
  • *Arrives with a crash and a thump*

A whole week of social drinking...so relieved to stop last night making me 5/14 Miss P :)
Visitors gone was treated to a lovely week of eating out and some very late nights. I do know I am looking forward to a whole week of early nights and simple fare until SIL arrives next week. Yes I had lager each evening, but am very aware of how much.

To those looking for an alternative tipple, I am a big fan of orange juice and soda, or hot water and a slice of lemon. Pretty sure my body is truly depleted of many nutrients this last week, so that's my plan for this week.

I really don't know how people do the party lifestyle, am so exhausted even after 9 hours of sleep I'd like to wave a wand and make it 9pm so I can return to bed. But that would be a waste of a day, and we have to make the most of each one.

Winter, noooo, not yet please, that means even earlier nights..

    Morning everybody!

How are we all after our AF Monday night? All bright eyed and bushy tailed (or even bright eyed and pig-tailed??:D)

I slept quite badly last night - loads of dreams and lots of tossing and turning. I was shattered though so should have slept like a log. Up at 6 this morning too - really not like me. Think, as others have said, I should lay off any caffeine containing drinks in the evening.

Well I moseyed over to the Flylady thread and had a look. But I think I'm going to devise my own system. With piglet around theres certain things I HAVE to do every day. I normally do a "to do" list for the week but think I'll try a different system. May even involve a spreadsheet! Ha...get me!

All this talk of winter and jumpers.....me and OH were discussing christmas presents for the kids last night. And it made me start worrying about christmas already. Not the usual worries (how to afford it etc)...but worrying about the drinking! Luckly we are going to my Mums christmas day so she won't let me drink much. She's my Alcohol Warden at the moment bless her.:rotfl: And as long as I don't buy it I can't drink it can I?? And, thank god, FIL and MIL have said they're going away this year! So really theres nothing that will send me running headlong into a bottle.

Anyway, off to make the most of the peace and quiet before piglet wakes up!

    Miss P

    Hello Dc! :hello:

Have you had a nice week?

I'm one of those wierdos that likes winter. Love the early nights and actually knowing what to wear (instead of being caught out in rain-showers in sandals and no coat!!!)
