Sky Sports / ESPN - Scottish Football

I'm currently with Smallworld cable and i have access to Sky Sports, so i assume ESPN would be the same deal.
Although they are meant to be in talks with BT vision etc about expanding.0 -
Does anybody know if Virgin Media customers will get the ESPN as well?
We are on XL package and received Setanta free.
Also wondering if any Boxing will be included with ESPN.
I should really phone Virgin...but to be honest I put it off if possible as there seems to be a communication problem MOST times I phone. Either I can't understand them or they can't undertand me. Either way, I find they don't really listen to your request.
Thanks

Im gutted as I had the XL package with setanta.
Im paying £33 a month for all tv, phone and broadband but no sports. I was told it would be another £19 for the sports package plus whatever ESPN charge is for virgin customers...say another £10 which is £62 which I cant afford!
Shocking price!
I really only watch the old firm games as I have a season ticket...gutted now.Total DebtWas £4145.81now £0.000 -
I feel your pain a little Hoopy. I gave up my season ticket this year as I can't afford to travel every other week from deepest, darkest Shropshire!
I used to have Setanta for £13 pm, but will now have to fork out for Sky Sports + ESPN. I've also just got Sky HD as I thought "I might as well since I'm forking out a fortune anyway"!
Still, at least Sky's presentation will be better and the picture won't go off 3 or 4 times every game! Every cloud...............:)John

Slightly disappointed with the money that will be coming into Scottish football but at least it will be, as said above, better presented than it had been.
I'm eager to find out what the scehduling is going to be like. I dont like the thought of going back to 18:05 kick-offs.0 -
Any word on the Scottish Internationals? I know Sky already had the rights to home games, but Setanta had the rights to away games.
Were the away game rights included in the SPL deal? (did the SFA get in on th deal or was it just SPL).0 -
Seriously? Did the top beaks that run our game not look forward enough to see who would cover away internationals?
So we can look forward to SPL, Scottish Cup and Home Internationals on SKY, but for away games the option is tuning in to the old wireless??????0 -
"The SPL will announce their TVschedules under the new deal with Sky and ESPN within the next 48 hours. The games will take place on Saturday lunchtimes, early Sunday afternoons and Monday nights."

At least Rangers fans will have the luxury of knowing that £16pm for Sky Sports also includes UEFA Champions League coverage of their club and the traditional end of season Scottish Cup Party
