Morning all:j:j
Well we had a great time at the zoo yesterday:T:T We wached the sea lions being fed and the penhins too. We only got around harf the zoo. So we shall be going back at some point over the summer to do the other harf.
On our way back from the zoo we stoped at asda and picked up one of there take away currys for two for £5. We have never tryed one before but i have to say it was just as good as haveing one from the local balti. The only diffrence is its harf the price:T We shall be having one again and i would recomend them to anyone who wont a cheep takeaway. Thay are very easy to warm thourth you just chuck them in the oven for a bit.
We did have a bit of rain but that was not untill te time just as we were coming away. We had our picnic in the grounds of the zoo.
Lunch today will be home made veg soup
Dinner yonight will be roast beef.
Its set to rain all day here today so im not sure what ill be upto.
I hope that you all have a great day:j:j

Hilstep - so sorry to hear your very sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with your DD and all your family.
Churchmouse - I'm so glad your DS is on the mend now.
Rnshon - we moved to France in March. When we first bought our house four years ago, we marvelled at how cheap everything was compared to the UK. Things have really gone up and up since then. Things like the rates, water and so on, are still a lot cheaper, but the cost of food has rocketed, with most of it being a lot more expensive than the UK. Basics like milk and flour are are lot dearer, and I've already moaned on here about cabbages being 2.50 euros each! Oh, and anything made of plastic is really expensive!
Well, dull here after a really hot sunny day yesterday. It's just started to rain, too. I also think I felt a mild earth tremor; I heard a noise like thunder but the ground was rumbling, too. I'm not going to panic - this part of France is built on granite, so I don't think it'll go anywhere! Anyway, I've not heard or felt it since, so perhaps I was imagining it.
Dinner tonight is spaghetti bolognaise and I've already prepped the tomss, mushrooms and onions for it.
I have some online work to do this morning, and hopefully will be taking the afternoon off.
See you all later.

Good Morning All.....its Friday :j:j
:beer:Have a great day Miss-Moneypenny:beer:
Halight - I also think those asda curries are very nice.
Damp here at the moment but sun trying to get though. Had a lovely barbeque at friends last night - walked home & made it literally just before the heavens opened - lightening was spectacular.(sp)
Today am trying to get as much annoying paperwork done, we have big changes in 2 weeks and I am trying to sort out stuff for that - we need to increase our limit on our fuel cards - what a palavar that was - have been their customer for over 9 years with no problem but it still took us ages and isnt 100% correct - the salesman there said that its just a nightmare, they are trying to get more work but cant offer most people the credit. A good friend who has no debt problems, good job and owns own house got turned down for a small loan this week - the banks are definatly holding back recession recovery.
Ok....that was bit of a rant wasnt it :rotfl:it just makes me so angry.
Am about to put a leg of lamb in the slow cooker - havnt had a roast for ages and really fancied one. Think will be having homegrown roast marrow with it:j Hopefully OH will do some hoovering and I will make sure the ironing is done by tonight.
PP - I too am trying to work out next weeks activities with the emphasis on cheap or hopefully free. Must remember to order some Tesco clubcard deals.
Think I shall go now as been waffling, have a great day.

Morning :hello:
Dull here again today it rained heavily overnight so everthing is dripping but at least the gardens got a "free watering"baskets look a bit bedraggled though.
Never got chance to come in yesterday was out and about all day, had to follow OH over to Blackheath to take his car in to be done, then to Makro to return Mums TV, picture was breaking up and the DVD stopped working.
They were very good and exchanged it for another one even though it was out of waranty but only just.
Got back to Mums and guess what....yep that one was faulty as well.....so back we go and changed it again seems ok this time so fingers crossed
Then back over to fetch OH's car, so I just flaked out on the sofa with some knitting for a friend.
