Hi I am thinking of going to Orlando in July (around the 12th onwards) never been before where do I start? eg pricing flights, what insurance, infact everything..lol, its for 2 adults and a 15year old. (upto now!)
Any advice would be great
Thanks
Then is it villa or hotel. You can always go to a TA and let them do the legwork for you. But half the fun [and frustration] is doing it all your self. Hotels are easy, try to settle for somewhere like Lake Buena vista nice hotels. Gotta go will continue later!Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
I would suggest trip advisor forums for orlando as a great place to start. Lots of really detailed information on there. If you are going in July one of the first things needs to be where are you staying, are you going to go for a villa or are you going to stay in a hotel. If you are going to go for a villa then these can book up early.
Also you need to look at where you are going to stay. Is your holiday going to be centered around disney, or do you want to be more towards universal, Island of adventure, Seaworld, aquatica.
Are you wanting to hire a car to get around? if not the I-drive is the place to stay as there are buses to Universal. Disney is a little harder to get to via bus but can be done.
I know I have pose a lot of questions but there is lots to do in Orlando!JeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -
Don't know if this is of use to those looking to book. I booked my 4bedroom villa on ebay for £250 a week term time or £350 school hols. I also booked my flights and car hire through my bank account with Lloyds TSB which was cheaper than any quote I'd got anywhere else.
I am a novice and this is our first trip to Disney but I'm happy with the deals I got. I've also started looking on The DIBB forum as well as recommended by others on here.0 -
I've just booked for 3 weeks in July 2010 and was looking around for Park Tickets. I have found
14 day ultimate disney tickets (all parks and hopping) £210.00 adult £183 child.
7 day two park universal tickets £67.00 each.
Are these good prices? Should I purchase now in case the offers expire or are there normally offers on throughout the year?
First timer, any advice much appreciated.Veni, vidi, vino = I came, I saw, I drank wine

The universal ticket price does not seem too bad. Is it just those two parks you plan on doing? Not going to go to seaworld, aquatica, busch gardens?
Because if you are going to go to the other parks getting orlando flex tickets might be worth a look.
I cant comment on the disney price, I have never been there so never really looked at their ticket prices.JeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -
Hi, am looking at Florida for 2 weeks from 13 July onwards for 2 adults and 1 child (10yrs). Rather fly business/premium economy and stay in 4 or 5 star hotel.
Should I look at the indie travel option, ie arranging own flights or should I just use Virgin or similar. Thanks in advance.0 -

We got buy one day get one day free tickets for Seaworld when we booked the holiday and don't really fancy Busch gardens (too scary, I'm a wimp) so flex tickets at this stage would be more costly.Veni, vidi, vino = I came, I saw, I drank wine

Ah right thats not too bad then. Busch is good, plenty of animals there but it is a long day if you take the coach transfer.
I dont know if you have seen but if you go onto google streetview maps you can look round the parks. Well Universal, Island of adventure, Sea world, aquatica and discovery cove.JeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -
Has anyone ever used Park-tickets.com for Disney tickets ? They have a 5 day adult ticket for £144.10 which seems quite a good deal.
Says that its a 3 days admission to your choice of Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. To be used over a 14 day day period. if bought online a 5 Day Ticket will be sent.
Any advice from anyone who has used these guys would be appreciated.0 -
