The Hardee's fast food chain is great for breakfasts, especially their biscuits (scones cut in half with various choices of fillings). Photo http://c767204.r4.cf2.rackcdn.com/00534349-2d7d-41ef-81db-7d447caa7ccd.jpg

Taco Bell offers amazing value for money on a limited budget.

Having trouble with links at moment as on phone... but googling best US chain restaurants brings up a survey listing the best ones. Cheesecake Factory won, Olive Garden and PF Chang's also score high. Forbes magazine has listing on their website.

Another very considerable advantage of Taco Bell is that one taco will serve as a very simple and inexpensive snack. http://visitdesoto.com/images/uploads/tacobell1.jpg

    A few other recommendations:
    Wendy's: burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads.
DQ (Dairy Queen): bacon double cheeseburgers, banana splits, dipped cones (huge ice cream cones).
Arby's: roast beef sandwiches (burger buns filled with numerous layers of very thinly sliced beef).

There also seems to be a lot of Chick-Fill-A's springing up, We thought it was better than KFC.
As for ice-cream, Twisty Treats for us every time.

Any idea what a taxi from Orlando Internation Airport to a resort on International Drive would cost (Sheraton Village, I think)? There would be four people plus luggage.

Without paying on the day (much more expensive) I don't think you can.

Do the days not used still last for a while after?

How do I buy a Disney park ticket for less than 7 days? I only want 4...

I used Orlando Attractions who are highly recommended on the DIBB forum (Disney Information Bulletin Board) run by British Disney fanatics. It might be worth joining up and having a look there.

I went last February to both Disney and Universal, used the DIBB and thought it was good for ideas, tips and advice. Any questions I had people were happy to help out. I even changed hotels on the advice of people and had the best time there.

We only wanted a three day pass for Universal and then four days for Disney and got exactly that at a great price. Took the advice of park hopping which is more expensive but then you are not limited to one park per day. So if you really enjoy one park or didn't like another then you can either go back or you are not stuck there.

As it turns out we ended up only needing just three out of the four days so went down to Downtown Disney on our last day and chatted to one of the staff there who happily exchange that one day for a pass to Disney Quest. He wasn't suppose to do that but that saved us the entrance fee for Disney Quest.

Tickets do last a while but are non transferable as they are connected to your finger print when you go on your first day. Last for 14 days unless you want to pay extra for non expiration but I heard they were getting rid of that. So worth checking that out.

Email simon@orlandoattractions.com and tell him what you want and you will get exactly the tickets you required at a competitive price.

Thanks for the advice. I have looked at prices and the best deal to cover my requirements seems to be at undercover tourist. It seems that if we want 3 days at Disney it's cheaper to book a 3-day base ticket. However if you want 2 or less days it's cheaper to pay at the gate. We only have 6 days in Orlando and we're currently thinking of 2-3 days at Disney, a day at Seaworld, a day in a water park, and a day at the Kennedy space centre. I've not yet decided whether to book tickets in advance or just pay on the day (which would give us the flexibility to change our minds).

Just to add - I've booked the flights through the Flight Centre and got them for over £300 less than if I'd booked direct through American Airlines.
