  • I'm trying to find a villa in Florida, but near the beach rather than Disney area.
I'm after a private pool, hot tub, internet, close to beach.
Somehow this is impossible to find! Budget from £400-800 p/w depending on what extras/luxury included.
Can anyone help please? Been scouring HomeAway for weeks.
    (Dates 15/11/12 - 29/11/12)

    Many thanks
I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!

I'm looking at booking tickets for Busch Gardens in Tampa. Looking round I know about Floridatix, but I've come accross another website Attractiontix which I can get cashback from.

Has anyone used this site before? Do they send a physical ticket like Floridatix? I'm new to all this and I'm just trying to get the best deals I can.

Also does anyone know how far away Sea World and Aquatica are from Disney World resort where we're staying. Is it possible to get public transport, or do you really need to drive?

I am a dedicated MSE'er and looked about for the best deal when I bought my park tickets, and floridatix came out top. Some other sites offer them cheaper UNTIL you encounter the card charges and delivery costs.

If I remember correctly, it was about a 20 minute drive. I think there may be public transport, but it isn't very frequent.

I have been to Orlando twice and there is no way I would reccomend doing it without a car.

We went there for a day trip last year, the beach was soooooo beautiful! I googled villa rentals, but the cheapest I could find for a 2 bed during the dates requested was about $5000

if i bought the 2 park Universal ticket which allows you 14 days consecutive entry into the 2 parks for £82 from Florida Tix, is there a cheaper/better ticket for doing this for just 2 days? Ie a one park, 2 day ticket?

basically am going on a Florida roadtrip, starting in Miami, then heading to Tampa for 2 nights with a trip to Busch Gardens, then heading to Orlando with 2 separate days in Universal, one very long full day in Magic Kingdom and Hollywood (I have been before so it's cool I don't need to see everything) and one day in Seaworld and shopping. Then heading to Daytona and Jacksonville before heading to North Carolina and flying to Boston (madness!!!) Would appreciate any ticket help - just seeing if anything works out cheaper than the Flex Ticket with a two park/oneday ticket for Disney. xx

We are regular visitors to Anna Maria, in fact our daughter got married there in June, so I can confirm its charm, but I agree you may struggle to get what you want for your budget.

We use this company recently http://www.annamariaparadise.com/

We like the Anna Maria end of the island (quieter, two piers, lovely beaches, a couple of good restaurants a cute row of little craft shops etc all in walking distance) and their office is in walking distance of most of the area. if you look at their two bedroom choices (if big enough for you) you MAY just find something. Be aware though that tax, cleaning fees etc are added to the listed rates.

If you are willing to compromise, the following places are nice too. Small resorts, self catering with shared pool and close to beaches.

Daughter stayed at first last month, we stayed 3 times at second, but not in last two years.

ETA. Prices seem high, but our daughter paid £70 a night for a two bedroom as a walk up at Sunrise Gardens last month.
