    :rotfl:

MVMCP tends to get busier the nearer it gets to xmas iyswim so the 1st few are actually a better time to go :D

Completely agree. Apparently the not so scary that actually falls on Halloween is not surprisingly the busiest, so the ones nearest the dates and at weekends seems to be the pattern and the ones to avoid.

LOL at the review of the Disney dryers! :rotfl: Made my mind up take one with me! :) Oooh do we get shampoo, body wash etc in the rooms? Would be great not to have to pack all of that stuff! :)

Depends on the resort. At OKW we get soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. At Port Orleans we got soap, shampoo and conditioner. I haven't stayed at the value resorts for a while, but they did have those dispensers on the wall. I have never stayed at the Grand Floridian, but at those prices I'd also want one of Snow White's dwarves to hand deliver my toiletries on a silver platter.

Well I'd hope for what we're paying to stay at AKL we'd get plenty of decent smellies! :p I'm also planning on liberating several facecloths! ;)

This will make a nice change to where we stayed last year, we were at the Sheraton Vistana Villages and we hadn't realised when we booked that they were very self sufficient apartments and we didn't even get clean bed sheets after the first week! :o

I'm going to stay with a friend who's resident in Tampa in Florida at the end of January and we're looking at going to Disney for 5 nights/6 days. Looking at all the deals she can get and I can get, it's more beneficial to book it all this end.

What she has asked me though is can a US resident use the park tickets that are booked through the UK? Naturally I'll be travelling with her. I'd never thought about it, but she knows of other people of have had issues. We're looking at booking the hotel and the 7 day premium tickets together. I've had a look round the website and can't see anything, but she has got me wondering incase I've missed something.

Hi Kido. I'm really surprised as there are some great deals for Florida residents, though not necessarily US residents. For example, here's the info from Disney:

She can use those tickets - though like Vivatifosi, I'm amazed that she can't get a better FL deal - I normally envy those discounts! Normally you can snag really cheap rooms, especially in off season which the end of Jan is.

I've stayed at AKL twice, and received the usual conditioner / shampoo / body wash (and I think body lotion) combo. It's nice enough. Definitely nicer than the dispenser at the value resorts :D

Good to hear Karen, thanks :) I don't suppose anyone's done the Wanyama Safari at the AKL have they? It looks amazing but not very MSE at all!

I haven't, but I would love to. There are a few really nice reviews of it online!

Some other things I forgot to mention following recent Disney visit...

DVC members can buy a voucher for a premium AP. Buy before end of Dec and use before Dec 13 (ie start your AP before then). Total is $399 plus tax, so big difference, particularly as it is a premium rather than a bog standard pass. We're hoping this will be extended into next year. DVC's new management is currently looking at member incentives so hopefully there will be some interesting changes ahead.

Also, upgrades to Pirates of the Caribbean (new feature) won't say what as it will spoil things, but nice addition. Not a big change, but something afficionadoes will notice.
