No, they might have looked at the stuff in my 10 cases and found the fags and booze.
  • Hi,

I wondered if any of you knowledgable M'SERS could point me in the direction of where to start looking at Holidays to Disneyworld. We went to Disneyland Paris 3 years ago and the kids loved it but I am completely lost when it comes to America.

The basics that I need to know / cover are-

Myself (physically disabled - at home I manage on crutches and out and about I use a wheelchair/ mobility scooter)
    3 children aged 10, 8 and 6.
10 year old is autistic - His carer will be coming with us so 2 adults and 3 children altogether.

Would we be best to stay at a resort /hotel or a villa and hire a car? How disabled user friendly is the public transport.

The kids want to do animal kingdom, waterparks and swim with dolphin.

Preferrably we would be flying from Edinburgh or Glasgow but would travel to Newcastle if need be.

What is the best time of year to go. I am quite happy to take kids out of school as it will be a once in a lifetime holiday for us. Have been saving for 2 and a bit years so it wont be happening again anytime soon.

Any pointers would be great as brochures are driving me nuts!

    Beth

  • Hi, I am looking at going in Easter 2012 (late March) as I don't want to take our son out of school. Current flight prices are from £420, would anyone out there have any idea if they are likely to get higher or lower over the coming weeks? Bearing in mind that 2 months prior to travel is usually the optimum time to book flights, however £420 seems quite reasonable. What to do?! Any info/advice from more experienced Florida travellers gratefully received, cheers. Jon
  • just been onto the virgin website this morning and got for me and my other half, 10 nights, flights, v-room at gatwick,, car hire, insurance upgrade 14 day universal tickets for 2, and a place to kip for the night flying out on the 19th of jan for a bargain price and can not wait.

in regards to the £420 flight price, i would snap that up very good price that imo

Easter is terribly busy.....2 to 3 hr queues for rides I wouldn't want it to be my only trip to Orlando in a year
