We done the same - got 2 week passes for Disney and Orlando flexi ticket and it let us suit ourselves. We tended to avoid the parks on the weekend save maybe the water parks ( we went in February though so quite quiet), and done our shopping then. It wokred out more or less same price as 7 day passes

we went in February and in total for our passes, flights , car hire and hotel ( b&B) in LBV we were just under £5000 - 2 adults and 2 kids .That was 14 day untimate disney passes and orlando flexi passes too for 14 days.

I had looked at doing it all seperately but in end went for package through Virgin as it was our first time ( lol) and really didnt know what to expect.

Hi Amanda If you dont mind me asking... we are looking at going in 2013 with 3 children how much spending money would you need roughly for 2 adults 3 children 10/5/3 for 2 weeks...
  • Could anyone tell me whether the hotel benefits at Universal Hard Rock Hotel (the express pass and extra hour in the morning) are valid on the day of check out? This is really confusing me, As we would like to spend the extra day in the park before moving to our Disney Hotel later in the day.

    Thanks

Yes they are valid on the day of check out. We booked into the Hard Rock in march this year for this reason. :)

As i understand it you have to give in your hotel room key when you check out and that this is what you need to show when jumping the queue. Are you given something else or how does it work?

You keep hold of your key card and they will be deactivated. When you get your key card it has your surname on it (ours did) so won't be recycled. We filled in a form in our room and posted it in the set of drums at the front desk which they recommend for checking out or you can go to reception to do it.

Hiya, a few questions about Econo Lodge if anyone has stayed please:

Has anyone stayed in the Econo Lodge IDrive, in a Suite, as opposed to a room?

Some people have commented that it's noisey at the hotel because of the road and the pool being open late: was this the case? Should I message asking for a particular area of the hotel if possible?

There is a shuttle form the hotel to Disney which is 12 miles away (?) Other parks are closer, and we will be getting a car for the second week, so would you use the shuttle, or travel further to Disney with the car?

My paperwork doesn't say anything about a free continental breakfast, but the hotel web page does. Was that available to you?

    Thanks for any input :)

  • Can anyone suggest a good source for a plastic pouch/lanyard type contraption suitable for tickets etc... I thought this might be a good idea for each family member to have to look after their own passes/fastpasses/universal hotel express plus... and keep them waterproof.
    Irony.
