Hi All,
Thank you so much for all your help so far!
Would anyone know if there was public transport i could catch or a transfer coach of some sort that would take me from downtown Disney to Medieval Times? Really want to go there but might give it a miss if the travel via taxi is too expensive. Looking for cheaper travel options as we won't have a car with us.
Thanks again.0 -

another quick question if i get transport from i-drive it takes me to the transportation centre at MK,can i get complimentary bus transfers between parks or are they only for guests of the disney hotels/annual pass holders?
You can go between the 4 main parks using Disney's complimentary transportation. Lots of people so this to use their park hopping facility on their tickets. It's not just buses. You can get a monorail between MK and Epcot or a boat from Epcot to HS.
You can also use the transport to visit any of the disney resorts to have a look around or eat in the restaurants.0 -

I'm sure there is public transprt that will get you to Medieval Times but I have never used it.
Here is the link to the Mears Taxi fare estimator.

(sorry can't post links yet)
It looks approximately £22.00 each way. Public transport will probably be cheaper. (I used Typhoon Lagoon as starting point as it's opposite Downtown Disney - they will pick you up from anywhere though).
The lynx bus website has a route planner too which shows it is 2 buses. I think it is $2 but don't quote me on that.
If you do want a taxi there are pick up points all round Downtown Disney so you can just hop in and go.0 -
Heading to Florida this December with 7 adults & 1 child
Flights, accommodation & car hire all booked
But I am trying to find the best ideas for theme park tickets
Previously I have bought online in this country but have been told that it's much cheaper to buy from 1 of the many shops & stalls on Florida
Has anyone had any experience of this - good or bad & what would you recommend
Any info would be gratefully received - Thanks0 -

Recently we were in Orlando & the news was running a story about the authorities carrying out raids on a number of ticket outlets on the 192.
I think they quoted about $1 million worth of tickets were seized & around 15 people arrested. Apparently it has been illegal to resell park tickets for a few years.
If you do go down this route, please be careful where you buy from as they may not be valid at the park gate.Going down the Oteley Road to see the Shrewsbury aces! :T0 -
Interesting. Thanks izzitme. Last week the police in Orlando also busted a Celebration-based travel agent who had set up a front business offering holidays. Not sure whether or not they offered park tickets, but shows again that you have to be careful. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Buy tickets in Florida?
Thank you for your responses
My understanding is that these are legitimate tickets not used previously
Simply sold in Florida rather than sold in UK or on-line
Any thoughts?0 -
Moneybacon, I would rather buy tickets online here with abta approved site than risk buying them off someone in Florida who appears to be legit but isn't.
I've used http://floridaescapes.co.uk and attraction tickets direct in the past. If you look on the forums at the Dibb there is a thread on tickets. there are some really good deals, abt £150 for 14 days Seaworld/busch/aquatica/universal and IOA.0 -

I have not seen the magic your way tickets being sold in Florida any cheaper than on the gate by Disney themselves other than at the stalls previously mentioned.(No guarantee these tickets will work and if they have already been previously used but have days left your fingerprints won't match)
If you are going for quite a few days the Premium or Ultimate tickets only available in the UK provide the best value. Otherwise look at purchasing magic your way tickets from a site like Orlando Attractions(currently offereing free days) to be delivered before you go.0 -
