I'd like to comment on the post above. I think they've given very good advise overall, but there is one thing I disagree with them on.
Have to agree with Tom there - I have friends who go to Florida and dont do Disney - I am not particularly into Disney films or universal ones for that matter but found Disney miles better than Universal - the whole experiance was just perfect! Thought Universal looked a bit tired, the workers were grumpy and had ill fitting outfits - whereas in Disney they all looked great and were so nice - thought I would get sick of it but didnt - Was totally overwhelmed byt the whole Disney Experiance tbh . I thought Universal was good but I think if we hadn't done disney we may have come home disspointed.
No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I am right in thinking that when you book the dinner package for the candlelight procession you eat first and then sit and watch the show. I was planning on booking this later today when tickets go on sale but I was hoping that you eat and watch at the same time.
    Thanks in advance
    Val :)

No one can really advise on the parks its down to personal taste. I agree that Disney is a must just for the experience but we have been to Florida 3 times and my Sons (not quite Teenagers) love Universal alot more. Booked a trip for next year but we wont be doing Disney just Universal, Islands of Adventure, Seaworld and Aquetica and loads of shopping :T

I agree, everyone has different ideas on what is best. We are going towards the end of August and have got tickets for Discovery Cove, Seaworld, Busch and Aquatica. We are also getting the 14 day tickets for Universal and Islands of Adventure. None of us is too bothered about Disney (DS 15 and DD 13) so we thought we might spend one day at the Magic Kingdom as it would be a shame not to see it again but if it was up to me I'd rather spend the day shopping!

Has anyone stayed at extended stay deluxe on int drive? We have a condo for most of the holiday, but need somewhere else for the last 3 nights. Looking around int drive area as we haven't stayed round there past few visits. It's for me and OH, my parents , and my sis so 5 adults 2 rooms. Was going to be £188 inc breakfast for 2 rooms, best deal I could find for somewhere with decent reviews!

not stayed there personally but i have at quality inn on i-drive and found it to be very reasonable price for a comfortable clean hotel.I paid £458 for 2 adults and a child for 14 nights in september and also got 12% cashback through quidco when booking on expedia.

Hi I have seen today that disney are currently offering a 14 day ultimate ticket for the price of a 7 day ticket for next day for £235. We are looking to do all the disney parks plus universal and seaworld. Can anyone tell me is this a worthwhile offer getting the 14 day pass. We are going for two weeks two adults and 2 children. Thanks

We always get the 2 week pass, its usually about the same price. At least you can then do the disney parks any day of the holiday, and your free to plan day by day if you wish. Try florida tix, or attraction tickets direct.

We always park hop via the buses, adds a bit of fun as we dont drive out there due to OH has a job driving!! We use the free shuttle from our hotel to the nearest park, and then use the disney buses to park hop.
