Although £3 difference isn't much and no credit card fee.Certainly better then the price quoted by Travel city direct, and when we went last time with virgin we had to exchange piece of paper for tickets and it didn't take long even though we had a trainee who double checked everything with lady sat next to her
Hmmm, sounds strange, I definitely have the actual tickets for both Disney and Universal (I got the Disney 14 day tickets and Universal 14 day); they are credit card size cards with the barcodes on; the same kind as the ones you get at Thorpe Park or Alton Towers. On the back there's space where you have to write your name, etc.
I asked them to price match American Attractions though, not the Disney website (which was more expensive at the time anyway).
The way I did it was- sent them a message via the contact page on their website. They then emailed back confirming they could price match and asked me to reply with my phone number so they could contact me, which they did.
These companies make so little profit selling the park tickets, so at a particular time their margin may be so small that they can't price match. But it worked for me so well worth enquiring.0 -
Is there a Thrifty desk at Sanford airport ? They have a jeep hire via Netflights £30 less than Dollar - has anyone used them before ?
Going for a week on 1st July - 6th time in Orlando, always been Dollar or Alamo previously. Thanks for any information you can give....0 -
Has anyone used the Orlando Eat and Play Card? Travel Republic are selling them for £12 and you only need 1 per party, there are a few restaurants listed that we're planning on visiting anyway so it'll probably be worth it for us, not to mention the shopping discounts!
Are there any other cards like this that are better? We've got no kids so we don't need kids eat free stuff.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Just thought I would post this here too. Virgin Pilots have voted to strike: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13863341
Hope not too many people on this thread are affected by this.0 -

You can get hundreds of leaflets out there with deals in - for free outside supermarkets and stores. They really are everywhere.
And check the website of the place you want to go, they usually have vouchers on there too. As does the Iride and Lynx websites. You hotel will probably have the books of shopping discounts for free as well.0 -
What are the deals in the leaflets like? Is it like, $5 off $50 spend or 10% off whatever you spend? And the restaurant ones, are they offering free drinks etc or money off the whole bill? I'm not very good with vouchers (get fed up of carrying everything around so leave the ones I don't think I'll need that day behind and inevitably end up going somewhere that I have a voucher for, but it's not on me!). The idea of a discount-for-all card appeals but not worth it if I can get similar discounts for free by being a little more organised.... hmmmmm.
My parents are over in Florida touring the keys right now so I've asked them to keep an eye out for voucher books when they head back up to Orlando to airport, I hope they remember so I can at least have a look and start planning!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. if they stop at any of the services on i95 or the turnpike they will find loads of leaflets/booklets with offers in.0 -

Thanks I decided since we had booked through Travel city direct I would ask them if they would price match- don't ask don't get Well I told them I could get ultimate 14 day from disney for £220 for an adult Total price for 4 adults and 1 child would be £1073 He said he would do his best - off he went to speak to supervisor - On hold a while on a 0844 number - couldn't find a number on saynoto0870!! and bingo he came back to me and said he couldn't do it for £1073 but £1076 Result as disney would have charged £5 p&p and means I don't have to pay for them until balance due in October. I then negotiated 2 park bonus tickets for universal they wanted £485 and I got them down to £436. A little bit more (£15)than going to travel republic but I am happy as it is all together as a package - Thinking ahead in case of problems with virgin strikes!!!!!! and needing to claim on insurance:D
This will be paperwork that needs to be exchanged on first visit at park but I can live with that, was easy last time - we arrive first day so early due to time difference - think it was 8am when we pulled into parking lot at Hollywood studios having been awake since 4am! First at the turnstiles - was beginning of february so crowds small anyway. Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.
