Hi Karen, we went at the weekend and it was quiet, parks were packed though so I guess it is going to depend on the weather. If you get a day that is in the high 70's, early 80's it is too cold for the locals so they stay away. Lightweights!!!!! I remember on the last week, we was in t-shirts and shorts and you could tell people that were locals as they were in their big Disney wool coats to the floor and scarves, hats and gloves. Did make me smile, it was hot!!

    LOL :D

The best time I remember in a waterpark was December 2004. It was really cold, too cold probably for a waterpark but we went anyway as the weather had been cold for ten days in a row, so when it reached mid 60s we thought we'd brave it. I swear there were only about three other families in the whole park (needless to say, all Brits!). We had to leave in the end as DDs lips went blue

The staff looked absolutely miserable, and were wrapped up to the nines! Was most odd :D

    Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me what the weather, queues, prices are like in November?

We are saving up for next year but have been lucky enough to come into a small amount of money so are possibly thinking of looking for a last minute deal near end of october/November.

    My favourite month, especially if you go early and avoid Thanksgiving (one of the four busy times of the year along with 4th July, Christmas to New Year and Easter).;

Weather is about 26-28 degrees, after hurricane season so lower rain chance (though we've tended to have one partly wet day most Novembers); queues are quite light especially if you go to the parks early. Prices are reasonable, though air fares can be a bit higher if you hit half term out of the UK (end Oct).

What I like most though is there is so much extra to do. At the end of Oct you have the Halloween parties at both Disney and Universal (extra cost) and later towards the end of the trip you get the start of the Christmas party season (again extra cost) and the Osborne lights at Disney. You also get the Food and Wine Festival with free "Eat to the Beat" concerts at Disney.

In the process of searching for tickets and found some but i was wondering if i purcahse with credit card, is there any need to pay for cancellation protection (£20). i'm unlikely to cancel but just wondering what the majority here think.

    Tickets for ?

Airline tickets will be covered under travel insurance for cancellation (which is why insurance should be taken as soon as you book) no point in paying twice and medical cover is an essential anyway.

Or did you mean park tickets or show tickets?

Most cc's protect your money if the operator/airline goes bust-few cover if YOU cancel

I am planning to go to Orlando next year just myself and my partner both in early 20’s. I am trying to plan way ahead to figure out how much I need to save. Ive got the flights, hotel and tickets sorted but all I need figure out is the price of food there. We don’t really plan to do much else apart from visit the parks and look round at places. We don’t really plan to buy souvenirs and go shopping for clothes etc. So I was just wondering what are the prices for food in terms of dollars. Our hotel has a complimentary breakfast so that is not an issue. But we would probably have lunch in the parks so if anyone could tell me how much a basic lunch and soft drink is at the parks. In terms of dinner we would probably go to international drive and find some sort of chained place, again does anyone know how much places down International drive are for dinner just basic burger and fries, pizza etc and soft drink. Also if anyone could give an indication of how much it is to have dinner in any of the Disney parks for each person. Thanks for your help on this it will help a lot in planning, as I haven’t been there before I have no idea really on how much food prices are.

Hi,As a regular visitor to Orlando I have noticed in the last few years the price of food has gone up a lot...same as the UK I suppose!
Some examples of chain places on International drive are Cici's pizza( all you can eat Pizza/Pasta..they have lots of coupons for buy one get one free in the tourist info offices( marked with an orange sign)
I think we paid $11 last year for two of us with Drinks
Denny's( all American food..burgers etc) sign up to their website and get money off coupons
Golden Corral...all you can eat buffet loads and loads of food choices roughly $10 each last week also coupons with 10% off in the coupon booklets.
Ponderosa...Same concept as GC but not as much choice.
Park food..On a personal note I think park food is overpriced rubbish, but some people love it.We just get drinks and a sandwich and make sure we eat before and after.
You can buy refill mugs for soft drinks in most of the parks so you can refill for a minimum charge throughout your day.
Also Burger king,Mc'ds and other fast food places abound!
International Drive is pretty long and there are more places up around the Wet'n'wild end ask anyone they will point you in the right direction of Wet'n'wild!

Hi, unless you have a dining plan for the parks then i wouldnt bother eating there. Its going to be quite expensive. We usually have a large breakfast and a snack in the parks rather than a meal. We have taken bottled water and snacks for the kids in with us before. If you look on "the DIBB" there are menus etc for park restaurants for you to look at.
Eating out has got dearer but you can still have a good feed alot cheaper than here, oh and i reccomend Cici's pizza (as mentioned above......my lot love it there.

Buying souvenirs etc is best to get from walmart, even the Disney goodies are 50% cheaper there............and you can grab the water etc for your park visits lol.

When we went last year we put aside approx $25 per person aday for food.
