I see Disney has bought Marvel Entertainment, so does that mean some of the Universal Park rides will now switch to Disney ie, Spiderman, Hulk

This is such an interesting story, This broke this afternoon as Adam Juz and I were preparing to record the new Disney Brit podcast tonight. We are trying to get mor information from Disney

The marvel adn universal contract actually expired a while ago hence no marvel characters at the parks. I am sure there will be a licening agreement in palce but it could mean so many things.

Heres a free tip for you all that very few know.... Animal Kingdom is listed as closing at 5pm BUT people can still book dinner in Tusker house and Yak n Yeti and so they actually keep Asia and Afirca open until 8:30 - including all the rides!

That's a great insider tip! Can you just confirm please that this does not just apply to EMH evenings? I ask because this May I tried to book an early dinner at Tusker and they refused the booking because the park was closing at 5pm. I will be going back next May and will certainly try this, but staying off-site so can't do EMHs

From my understanding, Universal have the rights to use four Marvel chrs in their park. Spidey, Hulk, Capt America and Wolverine and they have exclusivity anywhere east of the Mississippi. Can't remember where I read that. Could this mean Spidey in Disney Land?;)

Off myself to Disney in a few weeks, can't wait! First year on the free dining plan, I aim to eat my own weight in food!

  • I really don't think Disney will be adding any new character themed rides but the possibility of meet and greets are more likely.

Just back from Orlando today. I would suggest that anyone avoid Continental Airlines like the plague, I've never been on such a poor airline.

I definitely agree with the people who say, hire a car, we could not have managed without it.

We went for 9 days and eat out for every lunch and dinner (lunches in the parks and dinner in Kissimmee) and easily managed with £600 plus $40 worth of petrol.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

Well, you can take the toll road from Sanford if you want to, but the most direct route to I Drive is straight down I-4, no tolls. This can be busy if you are flying in weekday rush hour though and then you may wish to use the toll road, but if it is busy, the big matrix boards will tell you. Can't tell you the exact price though as I fly into OIA. Sorry.
