Ours had a fridge amd freezer which was great - although ended up looking like the fridge at home afer two weeks! We froze a lot of bottles of water then they lasted the whole day in the park , we put them in the bag with frubes and cheese stringers ( american versions that are twice the size of ours!) and it kept them fresh and cool for part of the day too.No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

Hi everyone, I'm totally new to this board as planning a Disney Holiday as last family holiday before dd1 goes to Uni (empty next syndrome already lol)
We are a family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 dd's aged 7,14 & 17. After spending half my life on the web I think I have comeup with a good deal but I'm not sure so would really value input
We are looking at visiting for 14 days from 26th August this year and plan to stay at Port Orleans where they have rooms for 5. Because of various deals Disney are doing we would get free counter service for everyone and buy 14 day disney tickets which would cost approx £2600 for accom, food and tickets to disney for the whole family
I've then found flights via thomas cook airlines (probably not the best I know but very cheap) from Manchester to Sanford for approx £500 each incl luggage, meals etc. We would then need to book a car and disney are doing an offer which would allow for two drivers for about £300 for the hire of the car.
So the trip should cost about £5300 does this seem a decent deal?
Any help appreciated0 -

Photopass in DLP - no, sadly. They don't. Did you manage to get shares?
very much like me work on the rail and keep union just in case.
not sorted shares out yet something always crops up and i get sidetracked, got some days off coming up where nothing planned so going to sort it out finally.0 -
Johnny, you'll not beleive it though. They have shot up to £8.80+ each now. Unless you are planning on spending £1200 you'll not get a return on your money.
Over on the Dibb, someone said that at DLP you can buy a booklet with 6 ride photo vouchers in for around 20 Euros. I cannot remember what rides have the option - maybe Big Thunder Mountain is one of them but there are just 2 places though so keep an eye out for being able to buy those to save a few ££.0 -

Someone on the DLP thread has suggested buying 5 shares for now and paying the fee - then in the next 2 years, when the price drops, buy 15 so in 2 years time you'll not have to pay another fee.
Does that make sense? It'll be cheaper than buying 20 shares.0 -

I know this will be a very difficult question to answer as everybody is different in terms of what they like, but I'll see what comes back anyway.....
We are having a short trip over to Florida and plan on doing one theme park and one water park.
In your opinion what is the best theme park for ages 14+
(Also is a base ticket the best option for us?)
Thanks in advance!
Hi there
Having been there many times, and my kids are 18 and 16 now, I would recommend Universal/Islands of Adventure if you have to plump for only one park with older kids.
Currently, for water park, Sea World are offering 3 parks for the price of 2, which includes 14 days admissions to Sea World, Aquatica (fantastic water park) and Busch Gardens in Tampa (45 mins away). It also includes free transport to Busch Gardens for everyone.
This is only my opinion. But there are plenty of rides suitabkle for older kids at these parks and Aquatica is by far the best water park.
We are going on 19th June for 3 weeks.... will be our 7th trip there and I can't blooming wait0 -
Can somebody who understands Disney tickets explain the difference to me between those sold for UK only and the ones you buy in Dollars from the likes of Orlando Tickets etc.
I need about 5/6 days of Disney.
I was looking at MYW Magic Plus 5 + 2 days which seems to give me 7 days of parks ( no hopping ) and 7 waterpark entries for about $294 ( about £181 inc tax) for an adult but it only seems to be available in dollars. Can I just buy that here and use it there?
The concierge at Virgin has offered me 5 days plus 5 waterpark entries for $308 which seems a big difference.
The 5 day Disney Premium only available in the UK ( so it says) is about £214 which again is much dearer.
Am I missing the point? What would you suggest for 5/6 days at the parks without hopping but with waterparks if possible.0
