OMG  look at all the sweets!!!!

I saw the comments the other day about the photopass cd, I am definitely going to look into it. I spent a small fortune getting my photos printed so I didn't buy any of the Disney ones. I'd like to get the cd this time and be able to print my own.

Love the stitch photo! That's brilliant :T
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:

Here is the link to the pre-order CD and also pre-order photobook: http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitoffer.aspx

You have to buy it before you go, we left it in the basket thinking we only had to do that (Doh!) but it is so worth doing. We got 500 pictures but they are of us as a family too, pictures we would not have normally had as one has to take it. Plus we have the magic ones, and if you go to a Special Event you can get the special magic photos, some are only done for one night only, like the one outside the Haunted Mansion at MNSSHP. It is a must!! Also you can get the one ride photo from Test Track on your photopass too. We did not buy any, just got the photopass ones. Oh, and one from O'Hanas but they are $30 each - I wish we hadn't now as when I look at it, none of us are looking at the camera - but you live and learn.

Thanks for the link, that is a big saving!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do you actually get the cd? Am I right in assuming that you pay upfront the $99 dollars, collect all the photos on the photopass cd card, and then edit when you get home. Do they then post the cd to your home address? :o

Yes, you pay upfront for the disc and the credit remains in your account, waiting for the number.

When you get to WDW ask for a photopass for the DISC, not for photos as they will offer you this. Take it everywhere with you as the photographers are all over theplace. Some hotels have a photographer in the evening so you can have some family photos done. DO NOT view them online until you are ready to start editing them as you will have just once month to do them. They lso expire one month after being taken so you need to log in before then - then you have the month to edit them and order the disc. Does that make sense?

You can view them at any photopass stand in WDW (Epcot has one, MK has one in the Princess shop by Prince Charmin's Carousel), some hotels have them too, hoever, the 30 day limit starts when you log into your account and view them. So bear this in mind.

You order the disc online and Disney post it to your home address. It cost $10 for postage and takes about 10 days to arrive.

as above the photo pass is a really good idea although i did not realise you could pre order so mine was about $149 plus p+p as i did it on my return.

blue_monkey your husband does not look as enthusiastic as you and the kids in the piccie when dressed up.

i do not mean to offend you but when he has got the hat on i think he looks the spit of bob crow.

LOL Johnny, don't ever tell him that!! He hates the guy. Mind you - he has hair so probably could not tell! He was rubbish and this was the only picture he was looking where he should. Uusually he was looking at the camera - everyone thinks it hysterical when they look at the pictures.

He really did not want to dress up but because we did, he did. One of the CM came up to him and said how pleased he was he had dressed as that character as he had never seen anyone dressed like it before. (Cue smugness from me, he he)

We did the same Jonny, well worth the money - even at that price. We had a photo session at Jambo House (Animal Kingdom Lodge) as well, we would have paid £50 for that at home.

we were staying at the Hawthorn suites ( Pal Parkway)a couple of weeks ago - according to google maps this is just further along the main road, so probably about a 10 min drive max to Downtown Disney and a twenty min drive to Universal Studios. We found the area we were in very handy with plenty of places to eat out, within a short drive and even within walking distance at the Crossroads.
No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

    Hello Again,

I've been reading up on the replies, thank you all! It is very appreciated. We were looking at June/July or October/November anyway so thats really decided that. I want to do Halloween!

With regards to "budget" I actually have no budget. ;-/ However aiming for October this means passports are the priority, then i'm going to eBay/carboot anything I have that I can. My son would love this, and would break his heart to be told now he can't go. To give you an approximate idea I earn £6.70 an hour, pretax, childcare at £3.25 hourly (after travelling time for a 6 hour shift I earn/takehome around £15 /£2.50 hourly .... we can not get tax credits etc... seems we are just above a margin or something. We do everthing "big" by shopping around, comparisons, then haggling or cashback sites. (sorry if that sounds like a sob story - just tryin to answer the question). Yes, I probably could avoid sovinier type items - but if my bots are hungry/need something it would be done.

As a few of you asked, my boys are 3 and 9 soon, both in July. The youngest is 3ft tall now so I'm thinking we might be ok regarding rides as he's on a growth spurt now (again). My eldest is 4 1/2ft (not that i've measured him recently to be honest).

I know the hotels won't have cooking facilities but we will probably cheat - proper meals once a day (eating out, most likely evening) and have cereal for breakfasts (uht milk, and i can pack my kids plastic bowls from home?) and the third meal being sandwiches (although i have noted the "picnic lunches" being banned at universal! Seems sandwiches are allowed, only if bag a certain size). Then things like croisants and fruit for the kids to snack on. Do we get things like kettles? I'm British, I NEED a cuppaT to function in the morning. :P Do they have real tea bags over there, or do they taste "wrong"? ;-)

We only have 7 days, so I do not really want to do the 14 day anypark pass thing-a-my-bobs. I was thinking mainly staying in universal studios, and the islands of adventure as we have passes for those, and we wanted one day at the space centre (sorry, can't remember the name.. cape kannaveral i *think* it was OH said) and one day at seaworld (I wanted to do this since i was small! It wasn't just the 6kg of free sweets mentioned and then photo'd above, honest!).
It seems we can only buy these as 2 week passes, not single days entrances, or am i being thick?

I hope I didnt miss any questions there?
    Julie
