If you pay parking at Disney keep the ticket as it is valid at all the Disney parks for that day.

For the other questions I used mapleleaf tickets last year as they gave the best deals at the time however there are plenty to choose from.
My advice would be to register on https://www.thedibb.co.uk as there is loads of info on all things Disney there.

Advice please with regards to the park tickets, I have looking at buying the orlando flex ticket at £189 each which gives us 14 days at the universal parks and then a Disney ticket for 7 or 5 days, we plan on doing all the main parks for a day each, do you think getting the 14 day pass will be too much or the better way of getting them.

With regards to the Flex Ticket, does this also cover Busch Gardens? Reason for asking is that if you could save a few £ by purchasing a Universal 2 park 14 Day ticket for approx £85 and a Seaworld/Busch Gardens/Aquatica 3 park ticket on offer for around £76 saving yourselves around £38 each.

May also be worth checking the Disney UK site as they have an offer on the 14 day ticket for the same price as a 7 day (£225).

Many thanks for this, have checked out Dibbs and have found on their forum that Florida Escapes are offering an Orlando Multi ticket for £376 per adult and £333 per child, saving me £82 off my original quote:j

    Hi All

Off to Orlando in May with hubby and 2 boys aged 8 & 5, have been searching for the cheapest tickets and so far have found that the Freedom ticket from attractionticketsdirect is coming out the best value at £399 per adult and £352 per child as it gives unlimited admission for 14 days.

Can anyone advise if this is going to be the best price I'll get as don't want to book them incase I can get them cheaper.
Oooh, just realised it's only 12 weeks away:j

We used ATD. With hindsight, we could probably have done what we did slightly cheaper and it will depend exactly what and when you do stuff. But not worth the saving imo as the other great thing about those tickets from ATD is that they basically mean any park any day, for 14 days, no worries.

They were ok in terms of service, but did have to chase them for our tickets. They ask for your departure date, I would tell them a week before your real departure date to be sure. One big plus is the boggy creek airboat ride tickets they give you. Well worth using them as it is a lot of fun!

If you are going with Virgin Holidays it is worth giving their concierge service in Orlando an email and they will call you back - see if you can get any freebies and they will price match. We got price match as well as Free 'Kids Eat Free' Cards, Transfer to our hotel (Hotel was booked independantly, we was on fly drive) and was able to get Harry Potter Early Entry invite from the airport too - just for booking Discovery Cove with them instead of DC directly - for the same price. You can collect your tickets and vouchers at the airport.

I see Virgin have their 'preview' brochure out for April 2012 onwards - but all the prices are covered with a 'book now' button online so you cannot see how much the prices are without logging in and out everything, and no fly drives available yet.

    Hiya, new here.
Sorry if its been covered......... almost certainly with the last 168 pages..... :eek

Anywho, My son just won us a holiday to universal florida. We have NOTHING, no passports and no clues what else we need. I've never ever flown, used an airport or any of this stuff other people do as normal.
I watch the news, know america can be paranoid on security - so I know a passport alone is probably not enough. What other rules do america have? A friend at work said you cant travel on a new passport, must be at least 3 months old, is that ringht? Can't find anything about this online, but then I really do not know what I'm looking for!

We will be travelling as a family, 2 adults, 2 kids. Whst about medical stuff, my partner has to have medication, and how about travel insurance?

Car rental - does anyone know the cheapest way to do it? And if you are staying IN universal, can you get to a supermarket easily? We cant afford to eat out every meal! Are there any famly run type cheap but good cafes within 10 miles anyone can recommend to us?

I thank you all in advance.

All i know is I need TSA locks on our suitcases, need passports, hotels flights and transfers are included in prizes, but expenses (food etc arent) a 7 day pass for each universal park included.
    Julie
  • wow julie what a prize  well done your son :j
im sure someone will be along soon to answer all your questions
