Hi we're booking a dream holiday to Disney world for November.

Budget isn't really an issue but I dont want to spend extra needlessly.

Could anyone give their best recommendations for a great Disney hotel? I want to be as short a distance from the park as possible.

Also it'll be in November does anyone know what the weather is like?

    Thanks in advance!
All I want is the chance to prove money can't buy me happiness ;)
  • Can anyone help?

I'm in Florida now & looking for the cheapest Universal tickets, 2A 1C, 2day hopper. If possible I'd like to buy from a UK site so I can pay in Pounds, but pick up here as I'm low on $$'s. But if anyone can recommend a place here to get the tickets, I can pay $.

Virgin said I could gopt to them for tickets, I'm going to try & go to their helpdesk this week.

    TIA

    Which park?
Magic Kingdom? Epcot? Animal Kingdom? or Hollywood Studios?

    And how many people?

Also to bear in mind that the nearer you are the MORE you are going to pay. A fortnight at Contemporary for 2 ad 2 kids for example will cost around 5k.

Have a look on the Disney website and put in your dates and the prices will come up.

2.5k for Animal Kingdom (next to AK but a long way from the other parks), Beach club, Boardwalk a walk to to Epcot and Hollywood Studios expect to pay around 4k, Swan and Dolphin, slightly less, Ply, G. Floridian and Cont. expect 4.5k upwards. The hotels next to the parks are VERY expensive unless you can find someone with timeshare points they want to sell.

We went November 2010 and for us was VERY hot the first few days of the month, then it turned and got really cold and we needed fleeces every day and long trousers at night. We did swim but it was chilly but we are British, we were probaly used to it!!

I suspect the CHEAPEST place would be one of the Hwy192 ticket booths, but I would never use them - they can be dodgy. I would try Walmart or another major supermarket. Not quite understanding the £ $ thing. If you are in Florida and buy from a British site ( you would pay on.
order, not collection and anyway pay on collection Florida= dollars ) then presumably you will be
using plastic to pay? If so, what's the difference? Is it about your card charges?

If you get tickets from Virgin you'll get the kids eat free cards and possibly wangle early entry to Harry Potter world.

    Hi guys

Im hoping someone can offer me a bit of advice. Myself and OH are going to Orlando for 2 weeks in March and we would like to do a day trip to Miami. Has anyone here done that before on their holiday? What I would like to know is should we book the trip in the UK or wait till we're there? Any advice on what a good price is and also who to book with?

    Thanks everyone x
  • Hello Folks!

In the past I have used Virgin Holidays or Thomson for my Florida holidays but have been looking at other travel agents recently. In the 'Brits Guide to Orlando' they recommend two companies I haven't used:

    www.jetsave.com/florida
    www.funwayholidays.co.uk

Both of these are coming out at a great price compared to Virgin and Thomson. Has anybody used them before? Anybody heard anything good or bad? Any information appreciated.

    Thanks!
