How do you get the free breakfast BM? We are flying with Virgin on the 27th but there has been no mention of a free breakfast - do you have to apply for it, or is it just given to you?

Have a great time by the way

If you are booked through Virgin Atlantic you don't get the free breakfast.

If you booked through Virgin Holidays (separate company to Virgin Atlantic), they ran a promotion recently to tie in with Harry Potter :)

If you booked through VH, why not give them a ring?

Thanks BlueMonkey. We actually dont leave until Wednesday 27th so a couple of days after you do and we're staying at the Orlando Metropolitan Express which is just down the road. Cheap and Cheerful but as were not in it much I shouldnt matter. We went 2 years ago and we loved it.

We arent planning on walking everywhere just to Universal as its just down the road, I know Aquatica etc is alot further so we would still take the car for those days.

Thanks for the info and enjoy your holiday!

Ooh, no ,not long to go either. Too excited now.

I would get the I-ride to Auqatica and Seaworld to save money on parking there too. Here is the map of where the trolley goes up and down ID: http://www.iridetrolley.com/maps.asp For us I think it would just be a bit more fun for the kids so going to get a weekly ticket each and ride around on the trolley and get a cab back if we don't feel like waiting for it.
  • We are going then = where are you flying from and who with? We fly from Gatwick with Virgin. Maybe see you there (but don't know what you look like, so sorry if I don't say hello:rotfl:)

Have a great holiday - only 42 days to go!!!

    Hi TurnaroundSue

  • Hi there,

Apologies if this is the incorrect forum to post to, if so please feel free to move it to the correct one.

I am planning on travelling to Florida in August 2011.

I am looking for the best value deal, I will be travelling as a single parent with one child aged 7 from Glasgow or any airport within scotland would be ideal.

We will be visiting disney/universal and the usual attractions. I would really appreciate if anyone could suggest the best people to book through?? Also, is it advisable to book everything through one company ie. tickets etc? I have asked for a quote from oceanflorida as this appeared to me as the cheapest option.....has anyone here booked with them before?

I am looking for the best possible price in order to save the pennies for spending.

    Thanks in advance xx

We fly out at 11.15 so most probably will just miss each other. Do you know how soon we have to be at the airport before we fly? Is it 2 or 3 hours? Doing hotel and park, so we can get up in the morning at a reasonable hour and not have too far to go.

Am getting really excited - only 40 sleeps to go:T

    Have a great holiday too!

Not sure who I booked through, whether it was Virgin Atlantic or Virgin Holidays as used my tesco vouchers. Might just ring them up tho, as nothing ventured, nothing gained!

    Thanks very much

I have booked for next sept already as prices were going up daily when I was checking in may, it could be cheaper leaving longer but I did not want to risk higher prices and availability issues as it is very popular.
Not essential but I would recommend a car for a few days to have a break from Disney, places like sea worl, universal and Kennedy are all worth visiting.don't worry about your insurance claim they don't ask if you have had accidents over here they haven't with me anyway.

That's good, was for potential theft as well after having my bag stolen with keys in, is kickin my !!!! in premiums over here. Good point with the availability, didn't think of that one just assumed they'd always be room.

It would have been with VH then as VA do not let you use CC vouchers.

I believe they send you a voucher for the breakfast. I shall let you know - mine are due imminintely :D
  • So many of us all going to be out there at the same time! - we leave on the 18th and I am getting so excited - haven't thought about what clothes to take - but mine and my son's halloween outfit are sorted lol - I think my priorities may be in the wrong order - maybe we could get an MSE badge to wear out there so we all recognise each other lol - hope you all have a fantastic time - anyone else staying at the quality inn on international drive between oct 18th & nov 8th?
  • We are going to the halloween party on 31st Oct. Nothing ese packed but we have our costumes sorted too. If you see Cruella De Vil with 2 child sized dalamations then that will be me. And there might be an adult sized dalmation with me too...... I am working on that one, :rotfl: Don't hold out too much hope!!

So there will be Cruella, 2 child dalmations with flashing collars (oh yes!!) and a bloke walking alongside us looking mortified, that will be us.

We have a board in the kitchen where we mark off the days to go. LOL. We go on 24th.
