In my opinion (just mine) there are 'tackier' parts of Salou where you will indeed find that sort of thing, we personally like to stay in La Pineda which is right beside it and a bit quieter but still close enough to get a quick bus or even walk in. Port Aventura itself is great, good mixture of rides and shows.
As FH Brit posted above there are indeed bargains to Orlando out there so maybe someone else will be able to find you a good deal!! Don't give up hope yet!!
EDIT: have done a quick search on florida4less.co.uk (part of co-op travel group), there are quite a few holidays on there for you from around £1280 for 3 people flights and hotel going from Gatwick so you might want to have a look there and see what works out.
Also regarding the plane, it doesn't say which aircraft they use and I'm quite scared of the cheaper low end ones. Even though the planes don't crash, I have better faith if it was BA or BMI.
The cheap ones are in two star hotels, I guess they shouldn't be judged on star ratings, will need to reed up the reviews and how far the hotels are from the actual theme park.0 -
FH Brit you are wrong.
Not only from experience but having just checked google maps too.
I must admit it doesn't sound like how I remember ever being able to enter the MK ticket booths but as I've never specifically looked for a route on the left I couldn't say for sure.
Even coming up from the back way (Bonnet Creek Parkway, from the Port Orleans Resorts & Fort Wilderness) they've made sure you can't get into the main MK car park despite being able to get to the hotels around MK.0 -

I have been to Magic Kingdom loads of times and the whole road for at least a mile has no turn offs. I checked this on Google maps and it shows not a single turn off.
And lets be honest, there is no way Disney wouldn't have closed such a loop hole if it ever existed.
No left turn (unless FH is on about some other entrance???)The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -

I'll try to clarify......
In Mr L's Picture - the little "A" flag is on the toll booths to enter MK.
You will see (according to the map) World Dv goes through the toll boohs AND also bears left (towards the Hess Petrol Station (on the left)
As you cannot turn right into it - go on to the Hess and use it (otr the road that goes aound it (Car Care Dr) to u-turn.
Head back towards the MK entrance You will see a road to the left that does a u-turn to the left and entering you into the MK car park.
link below will put you at street level and you can clearley see a van driving where I've said with the toll booths off to the vans front right therefore by passing the booths.

I am noty going to wast any more time with this If you do not believe it then pay $14 per day (or more) If you are ACTUALLY going to WDW try it on your first visit and save $14 a day!!!
All you guys doubting me have been here, what, at most about 10-20 times if you are a WDW regular tourist. Well I go here (not just to the theme parks) about once a month.
I suppose they'll close the Grand Floridian next as according to you all you cannot get there withouy entereing the park and paying!!!
Here's a thought the next person going to WDW with a 14 day pass - please try this and report back. If I could guarantee I would not be hounded by MSE stalkers I'd be glad to meet you and drive you through!C. (Ex-Pat Brit)

How does it? It shows there is no left turn before the ticket barrier???
As I said follow to The Grand Floridian.
The other thing we've done is go through the tolls (stay left) and say you never meant to go into the park, and you want the Grnd Floridian, the booth attendant will show you to take the second left to exit and turn right to G Floridian. (the first road on the right is the "cheat"C. (Ex-Pat Brit)

So, just to clarify you DO actually go through the ticket booths? But you tell the attendant you are heading to the Floridian? The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -

Just to clarify something - I wasn't doubting you, and if you read my post you will see I clearly said:KarenG wrote:I must admit it doesn't sound like how I remember ever being able to enter the MK ticket booths but as I've never specifically looked for a route on the left I couldn't say for sure.
When I have driven to the GF I've always followed the WDW directions which take you to the right rather than the left initially, if I'm remembering correctly? You go on a bit and then turn left, go past the Poly and into the GF.
I will admit that onsite parking is not something I pay particular attention to, as I usually stay onsite and when I don't, I have an Annual Pass so still don't pay to park.
And with the greatest of respect, you don't know how many times I have been to MK. But it is significantly more than your numbers above
But thank you for clarifying the way to do this, and I hope the tip helps someoneMy earlier comment remains about not wanting to have to park at one place and bus it somewhere else, but this if it works for MK (and arguably Epcot as you only have the monorail commute thenm....) then, great.
