I can also relate to many on this thread after having closed my savings account at the beginning of July, however i did transfer out the interest paid at the anniversary date in June. They were quick to send a standard letter saying that my account had been closed but still have to pay out by cheque for interest accrued in the intervening period. Infact i had to enquire about this and although the value is very small, it is the principle of the thing here; so maybe cahoot needs to be reminded that we are in the 21st century ! Just really wanted to add to this thread as obviously nothing has changed at cahoot.

I was also slated during the first posts of this thread for making bad comments about Cahoot, but since then others have made similar comments without the slating I got.

There are 2 reasons I think why you got a slating and others didn't.

Firstly from what I saw some of your posts were verging on being libellous e.g. alledgeing that Cahoot were deliberately witholding your money, whereas I never saw this kind of thing in other people's posts.

Seondly my time is available "as and when" (currently on my lunchhour) so I can't guarantee to read ALL posts or apply my time equally. I only have time to look at a selection of posts.
If you were treated unequally to others because I have to work, then I'm afraid that's life, I have to earn a living.

I actually think Cahoot are rubbish.
I've had lots of problems with them.
I just didn't agree with you that the best way to deal with it was to throw around potentially libellous statements.

Anyway it's good that you have been successful with your complaint.
Just look at what taking a pro-active approach can do.
