Now it's probably time to move the interests out to somewhere else but still leave £1 in the Cahoot savings account in case they offer something interesting in the future.
I'm still awaiting the outcome of my letter of complaint but would be interested to know how many people, who have closed their accounts, would open another Cahoot account if the interest rate ewas good.

    I know I certainly wouldn't.

I`m in the same boat as Snapelover, awaiting to hear about my complaint.
Yet again Cahoot can`t even seem to get their own complaints procedure right.

    Quote:
"It is our policy to acknowledge all complaints within 24 hours (or the next available working day) and wherever possible to resolve. In the event that detailed investigation is necessary, we will endeavour to give you a full reply within 5 working days. In the circumstances where this is not possible, we will keep you informed of progress regularly."

I received email acknowledgment of my complaint on 19th June, nothing since then.

If I live to be one hundred years old there`s no way I will ever bank with them again no matter what the great interest rate is.

Now for some good news re Cahoot...

Re Quidco (finally) Cahoot have paid up!!!!!!

I am due to get my £20 this month - check your Quidco payments page if you've also been waiting for this one ;o)

Phew! The fact that my Cahoot savings & subsequent current account was closed due to &^%$£*) customer service is irrelevant - I have earned that £20 through stress as have many other MSErs!

I have just been paid annual interest on cahoot savings.

Am I right in thinking that the account is paying 4.55% and is the same as the normal monthly savings account?

If so I may as well transfer to the monthly account?

    thanks

    1) Correctimundo. It has been since 28/4, unless you still qualified for the opening bonus.

    2) Exactement, unless you 'need' two separate accounts. ;)

Finally received a letter today :j regarding my complaint. It offers all the apologies and sympathy I expected  but the envelope also contained a compensation cheque:T. It is not going to change my world but it leaves me happy enough to forget about this whole matter - I won't forget enough to ever want to be a Cahoot customer again though. Cheers:beer:

Same thing here, got my compensation cheque plus apology.
It pays to complain but more importantly complain in the right manner and follow procedure.

Cahoot will NEVER see another penny of my money again.

Feel quite sad now - I've got to know so many people on this forum and now there's really no need to be part of it any more. Hope you all do well in the future with your savings. You never know, we may all meet up once again when we want to rant and rave about something else.
    Bye

I think this thread can be brought to an end now.
It seems that only Snapelover and myself took the time and effort to pursue Cahoot to a successful outcome.
Don`t let the "big guys" get away with it give them a kick up the !!!!!!.

No if you look HERE you will see that I was the first to start the complaints procedure (9th May), and receive a compensation cheque,( if you look at earlier posts than this one you will see more comments), and HERE where I received an e-mail from Cahoot, and received the cheque on 7th June. I was also slated during the first posts of this thread for making bad comments about Cahoot, but since then others have made similar comments without the slating I got.

But yes, I agree, "Don`t let the "big guys" get away with it give them a kick up the !!!!!!"
