Because I'm mental, ttc, because I'm mental. I realise it's not normal to have favourite brands of pregnancy tests to see other people's bfps but when you're living vicariously through others, this is what it comes to :) x x

As we knew from the scan when we would ov, I know we BDd the day before, 15 hours before & at the time of ov.

I was on a trigger injection which meant we had a time to work to - not just a day.

On the first Clomid cycle I didn't have a scan. On the next 2, we just BDd at the time of ov.

It puts a lot of pressure on though. OH couldn't complete initially on the timed one.

TCD - fancy a ski trip? I've e mailed FS to ask when the earliest I can see him for a scan is & his views on skiing in early pg.

I don't want to tell people yet in RL but as we go skiing with about 8 others, things could be tricky. I'm a drinker - so that's a give away! I could be on strong antibiotics - but that doesn't explain not skiing!

The other different thing was not thinking about it too much in 2ww. We had a weekend away after ov, followed by a bereavement so it's been busy. I have carried on as normal.

It still doesn't seem real - I think because there's a long road ahead. I think OH is planning schools! I'm trying to reign him in.
  • I would kill for a skiing holiday. I've refused to book one for the last two years in case I was pregnant (ha yeah....) Maybe you could do antibiotics and some sort of knee problem? I wouldn't have thought skiing would be a problem when it's less than the size of a grain of rice (Paula Radcliffe was still running marathons stupidly late into her pregnancy) but I totally understand why you wouldn't want to risk it. I know if it ever happens to me I'll be wrapping myself up in cotton wool and bubble wrap! :)

So happy for you. Hope I get some clomid in May! :) Do you know if they monitor you on the NHS as you're private aren't you?

We booked this trip last May. OH said we could always cancel if I got pg. obviously we didn't expect it at this late stage!

Google answers say (in the main) as its so tiny & well packed there's no need to worry. I don't do anything hard these days anyway.

I don't think you get scans on NHS. Someone else may correct this.

In case anyone is thinking of it, it was £200 for each appt/ scan/ trigger. One month was £300 as he did bloods too.
