    sillysausage, how are you?
    Primmer, things are moving now:j
Hope the patient evening is coming up soon and your DH can make it (I went to mine alone:o).
countrybum, I've done few ECs now:o With the one with GA, I just needed the day off, with the ones without GA, I was fine in the afternoon (after 30mins rest):)

AFM, I've been down regging for 12 days and am due for CD1 blood test on Friday. If all goes well, FET should be either on 11th or 15th June:o

Got my letter from clinic this morning confirming I'll be starting treatment next month:eek:. Wanted to cry when I read it - made it far too real!! Just a quick question for all you lovelies who have been through IVF - what was egg collection like? How long before you were back at work? Did you tell work why you were off?

Hope everyone is doing well - hopefully this beautiful sunshine is lifting the mood. I'm sat here with a lovely glass of Pimms!!!:D

Congratulations on the letter and the forthcoming treatment, it is quite daunting but exciting.

Sounds like you are having a lovely afternoon, i've been stuck inside as i had to finish some work i have been doing for a course i am on. Booo. :(

Anyway i have only had one egg collection as my recent IVF was a FET. Anyway I didnt find the collection too bad, obviously the anaesthetic helped but it didnt knock me out completely. i didnt suffer too much afterwards either. I had my EC on a friday and i don't work weekends, and my ET was on the Monday so I just took a week off, i think my clinic recommends 1 -2 weeks off. I was a bit la la on the evening of the EC. :D

I did tell my immediate boss but i have known her 13 years and she has been through treatment herself so felt i could open up. If i had worked anywhere else i would have taken the letter from the clinic, been signed off and not told anyone.

I guess it depends on your workplace and relationship with them.

Sillysausage - did you get the call or have you been for the transfer, how did it go?

I have had 2 sedations and 2 GA for my EC and have been fine with both. I don't remember a thing and not much pain afterwards. I have told my boss because I wanted time off so I take a mix of sick leave and holiday.

Another scan all going well, still no LH surge and got another scan on Thursday, possible transfer a few days after that. I feel quiet relaxed about this one, i think its because its FET and not as costly but then you still have the fear of the embie not thawing properly. Scary stuff!

  • Had transfer today, all 4 embies had survived until today which I was amazed about as last time I only had 1 left, this time they 2 embies put back in 1 at 7 cells and 1 at 6 cells. They are going to keep 1 more of my eggs going and if it turns into a blasto they will ring me and see if I want it freezing. At the minute I feel really relaxed, which I guess is not a bad thing!

Countrybum - I had my 2nd egg collection on Saturday and it was fine, didn't fall asleep like last time but that wasn't a problem. This time I didn't even need to take any paracetamol as I didn't have any pain which was lucky.

AFM - I am waiting to hear from clinic with details of patient evening so we can find out about ivf and when we can start the treatment. I am in the 2ww at moment too at 5dpo but not holding out much hope of it happening naturally.
Hope things get moving much quicker now Primmer :)

    BZ - how you doing?
Um... Up and down... But I was terrified the dentist would have to take out my tooth today, but it looks like he won't have to now :j

Bigz - how are you and OH doing. Keeping strong I hope xxxx
Erm... doing it tough. Think it's only really setting in now tbh :(
We're back to being very "broody" (which doesn't seem anywhere near a sufficient word really) again, now the immediate "we need to deal with this first" numbness has worn off. :o He's still signed off work - I can't imagine him going back any time soon. It's been a horrendous 7months tbh and it's gonna take a while to get back to any kind of "normal" :o

 Good luck with it! :D

SillySausage - that is good news, hope you can stay relaxed. Have you got much planned to take your mind off things ?

BZ - it is not surprising that you are finding it tough going, both you and DH have been through a lot and it's still early days. You are both still in my thoughts.

Juju - hope scan goes ok on Thursday.
