People knew the first time round of TTC - but cause it took 3 and a half yrs to get pg, it came as a big shock to everyone when it happened!
This time round, I have told some friends, but absolutely no family. Don't know why.
If anyone asks if we're going to have more kids, I just say 'it's unlikely', which is not a word of a lie.
Having some more cramping now - finding it reassuring - I guess anything that's 'different' from the norm may be a good thing!0 -
Juju congrats on the job :j keeping my fingers crossed for more good news for u xx
One step good luck for testing on the weekend fingers crossed for u too xx
Anmarj i had a non painfree hsg too they told me it was because of a inverted womb andwasnt sure if my one tube was blocked as some dye went thru but could be because of the tilt. They lost me at that point
Chickpea im sending optimism your way. Positive thinking is my new mantra (for 2mins anyway :cool)
We havent told anyone that we r ttc they all seem to think the opposite and im doing quite well letting them think that
its my coping method i think. I do have my days when i just want to scream the truth at everyone but i find it easier to excuse myself from baby talk cos im "not interested" than because im upset.
Had a little rant to myself earlier after hearing about a baby popping machine being preg with another!! Really frustrates me when i hear about people having more kids when they dont look after the ones they already have!!!!! but hay what can i do other than rant
Right its valentines and i should be oving soon so
im sure u can all work out the rest

Sorry runner can't help to much, are you having ICSI? If so it doesn't really matter. There seems to be plenty there but not sure about the rest sorry.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM

Hi Runner - sorry it's bad, but hoping you can find out what it all means for ICSI soon - should be OK, if they only need one good one?
+++++++
I'm CD19 - still lots of cramping. A tiny flecklet of blood today - which again, could mean something or nothing.
Why do I dare to dream every ruddy month..?!
9 days left until AF due anyway.
On an unrelated note - I have won a pair of tickets to the Olympics in a raffle! I get to choose the event (hoping diving or athletics) but sadly 100m final not on offer!! This is the second raffle prize in a month (last one was a hardback!). It's my lucky month..!0 -
thanks both, yes its ICSI, and they did find enough last time so i guess i just need to chill out and wait until tomorrow x
chickpea i still dream every month even though we have been told it would be a miracle so you are not alone, hopefully this month your dream will come true xx0 -
We have ICSI and my OH has about 1 million so you don't need to worry. They always pick the best out of the sample. Fingers crossed that you get the answers you want.
I won an in depth consultation with Zita West a couple of weeks ago but I am hoping I will not need to use it and be able to pass it onto someone on here.!BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM

Anmarj - My HSG was very painful too. One minute I am talking away to the nurse, the next ..... ouch, very ouch! Both of my tubes were blocked so they kept increasing the pressure on the dye to try and release the blockage. It worked but boy was it painful. I had a second HSG during the lap to check that they hadn't blocked again and they were clear but I would never do that without being sedated, ever again !
JuJu - congrats on the job, fantastic news.
Countrybum - most of our family know, unfortunately. We were due to have a birthday party for me when I had the mc so DH told close family the truth. Of course they in turn told remaining family so now everyone knows. In hindsight, I would never tell anyone. Initially we had great support but as the years have rolled on our families have distanced themselves more and more from us, as if we have something contagious! Really, its because they no longer know what to say and things like "relax, it will happen soon" are long out of the window !
Good luck to everyone testing and others in the 2ww. I am currently on 'ov watch' and symptom spotting for that :rotfl:You would think I had learnt by now !0 -
I didn't have an HSG as part of my fertility investigations. I had a laparoscopy and dye under general anaesthetic. Obviously it wasn't painful (bit tender afterwards) but I've been left with an ugly keloid scar in my tummy button plus I had the stress and anxiety of a GA (I'm not great with medical stuff!).
Anyone know why a consultant would suggest one procedure over another?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
