Sorry CCM for your loss can't imagine what you are going through. Hugs to you and your OH. X

    Chickpea, enjoy your time away.

C4B, the needles and vials can be tricky at times I messed up one of the vials before as forgot to flick the liquid from the top so had hardly any liquid for the menopur but I was in a rush and doing at work after a scan. You will get the hang of it. I have never had hrt with my icsi's.

Had food poising on Friday so was feeling really rough and on Saturday night I had my wedding party celebration for friends and family. Managed to make it through the night. I really need some down time everything has been so manic and I need to get some good sleep as I haven't been sleeping well. I need to prepare my body for another upheaval of drugs and high emotions.

  • Juju, such a shame you were ill for your wedding celebrations, hope you feel better now xx

Runnerduck, thanks - the first night was the hardest, got so stressed out about it but a lot calmer now. Though I always seem to lose too much liquid trying to get the air bubbles out

Cant wait for all this to be over with

Just caught up, I'm so so sorry CCM (((hugs))).
Is there anything I should be doing while taking these drugs? Im sure I read somewhere about drinking sports drinks or milk or something?:o Or is that later in the treatment?
It is always good to drink lots of fluid when you are on hormonal stuff, non-alcoholic and no caffeine obviously:p
Sports drinks are good in a way that it stays with you and doesn't go straight down iykwim:p

Sports drinks have a lot of calories and chemicals, so I can't really recommend it, but I did drink loads:p

If you get OHSS (that's usually later on), then only sports drinks as normal fluids like water can make it worse.

  • StaffieCat - how are you doing after the Lap?

I am still quite sore and tender - it was only5 days ago so still early days and I haven't yet removed the plasters covering the stitches - I might do this tonight. I'm getting married next week so I am hoping for a miraculous recovery. I'm pretty sure we won't be DTD for a while. Poor OH.

  • Hello,

CCM, I am so sorry, I hope you are doing ok. Sending lots of love.
I hope your feeling physcially better in time for your wedding and that you have a wonderful day xx

    My Lap:

So its been about 4 weeks now (i think) since the Lap. I am all healed accept for one stitch that is driving me bonkers! I am however feeling the side of affects of having those ovaries drilled - my face is full of the worst acne ever in my life ! People don't know where to look and of course I manage a team of staff so its not helpful on that front.

To top it off, I am E M O T I O N A L ;) (she winks because today is a good day!) One minute I am laughing away then suddenly I am balling my eyes out. At the weekend I seriously questionned whether I am severely depressed, cried all over DH on one day then the next day it was like Moulin Rouge around the house (but with only me doing the singing!). :rotfl:Honestly, dancing, singing, cheshire cat style happiness etc etc. Then fast forward about 5 hours and I was blubbering like a fool again. DH is very very worried !

Actually, my emotions feel a bit like being back on clomid !

So I think that I am in the 2 ww but tbh I am just waiting for AF to arrive, in fact feel like she is going to arrive any day now. We bd'd around when I think I ov'd but not much because I was still tender, plus I think my cycle is out of whack now.

To help next month I might get one of those digi fertility monitor thingies and might even temp - never done that before, so advice would be appreciated !

    Sorry to waffle on !!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok.
    xx

    Staffie -

Well, I wouldn't like to instill false hope, but the time I actually did get pg, I went *mental* the week beforehand. I nearly didn't go into work one day because I couldn't leave the car for crying. That month was actually my fertility nadir after nearly 3 and a half years. And then for no real reason, that was the month I got a BFP.

Hope it works like that for you!
