Good luck, kitten, I hope all goes well. It is scary when your first scan is not very promising, I had this myself on the first IVF cycle.

I did another test this morning (it is still Tesco cheap ones), an it is marginally stronger line if I squint the right way. So, the real test day tomorrow and I do have a Clearblue digital saved for that (I just want to see those words spelled out to me).

The centre is running DOLS trial and I am thinking to participate in it if I pass the hurdle of test tomorrow. It is to see if progesterone pessaries should be given up to week 12 of pregnancy. half participants will get progesterone pessaries, half - placebo. And you get a scan at week 7 and week 12 to see the development and blood supply to uterus. My thinking is that it is not doing any harm, but I get a few more scans and blood tests, and if the trial is successful, it might help someone in the future.

Looks like this might be it for you - I do hope so! A line is such a lovely thing! Congratulations.

SK - sounds good, fingers crossed. I have a while to go before the score is in for this month - off on a short holiday in the interim, so will catch up with you all when I return.

    Good luck everyone!

Gin, I had 12 weeks of progesterone and a 7 week and 12 week scan without being part of a trial in my pct. It seems odd that all IVF pregnancies in my area have progesterone, and elsewhere it would just be a trial. Maybe worth asking them about...

Best of luck for tomorrow's digital test!
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o
  • Gin - still got everything crossed for you, will be logged on all day tomorrow for your news

My appointment with the nurse was today to discuss all protocol and sign forms. Came out buzzing, feel really positive today and it makes a nice change.

Nurse said depending how the drugs go, if the eggs dont look so good, instead of collecting them we can just do IUI so as not to waste the cycle. I suppose that makes sense, just when I asked the consultant about IUI he practically laughed at me and said it was not worth trying it with our history. Then again, I suppose we will just cross that bridge if we ever come to it, and fingers crossed, we wont have to even contemplate IUI

Anyway, good luck to all that needs it and glad the thread is more positive (in more ways than one hopefully) :T
