Oh Kcmkee so sorry to hear they have found pcos, please don't panic as i believe there are some people here and on the pregnancy threads that have pcos, so please try and stay calm, back away from google and wait until you can speak to a specialist!
I am sure someone with more knowledge will be along soon to help, but welcome to this thread they are all just as welcoming and helpful as the other thread, but with more experience of the tougher side of ttc!
Huge hug to youLeopardlady

Thank u leopardlady i just feel why me, our family have really been thru it already this yr and mum so wants to be a granny as much as i want a baby and now i feel i have let her down as wel as my fab DH.
I wanted to come here hopin some would be able to help more, i love the girls on the other thread but it hard to read sometimes x0 -
knckee999 - hold in there, it is tough, but post here as much as you like to get off steam. I dont have PCOS but I do have multi-cystic ovaries (I dont know what that is either!). Jamie olivers wife has PCOS, and has her 3 beautiful girls (2 IVF 1 natural) so does Zoe Ball (1 baby and pregnant) so pregnancy is not impossible with it.
I often google and frighten myself silly with what comes up, and most of the time it is 1 persons experiences and not common ones. Wait and see what the consultant says is particular to you and how it will affect you, and make your plans from there. You dont say how old you are, but hopefully you have years to try and get it sorted and I am sure the hassle and stress will all be worth it when you finally get your baby.
I wish you all the luck in the world with your journey xxxx
Sarahs999 - I think you should be extremely proud of yourself that you are going - I am afraid I would probably chicken out! Just remember that everyone there will have been through 20 years of life, and I am sure that they are just as conscious of that as you are - Be proud of yourself and what you have achieved. And as to what to say, I would come up with something before hand that you feel comfortable saying, that dismisses the conversation, its nobodys business but yours. But you are right to be prepared for it, and if you can come up with a simple answer and take the conversation in a different route you will hopefully feel less stressed about it. I usually say that we would have liked more but it hasnt happened yet. Only the incredibly insensitive would ask more questions. HTH and big hugs

Thank u lilo for ur kind words i am 29 yrs old, 30 in nov
Hopefully medication wil help me to conceive, i just feel a bit shell shocked at the moment!
sarah are u 999 cos of bein in the emergency services to? !! hope tonight goes well and yes u are very brave as i would probley chicken out to, good luck x0 -
Kmckee, no, not in the emergency services, just wanted a number I wouldn't forget!
BTW, I too have PCOS and I had my son with no problems (first month of trying. It's just adding any more to the family that I'm having a bad time with, and that's nothing to do with PCOS...) Also it's important to distinguish between polycystic ovaries and polycystic ovarian syndrome. You need to have a blood test to look at your hormones to fully diagnose PCOS, along with the scan you've had. Only then will you know if you have the syndrome and how badly. As many as 1 in 4 women have polycystic ovaries, I believe, but it's 1 in 10 that have the syndrome, and the severity varies. As you haev none of the classic signs I wouldn't get too worried yet.
Thanks everyone for your kind words. I just went out and bought a gorgeous black dress and funky biker boots to wear with it so feel much better. Retail therapy is the only recourse, sometimes...0 -
I vote retail therapy every time, sarah - works for me!

Kmckee I just had to post to remind you of kenco. She was diagnosed with the worst case of pcos her gp had seen and was told her chances of conceiving with ivf were less than 1% and she's now naturally pg with twins! My understanding is pcos is alot more common than you would think and there are millions of women who have it and conceive either naturally or with some assistance.0

Fury!! MSE Forum keeps on losing my post! So deep breath and here I go again...
Shelly - good news! Thanks for letting us know.
Lilo - just the news I have been hoping to read - not the falling out with OH obviously (but trust you have now made up!) but that you will soon be back on the madness of TTC train again. Absolutely frustrating but fun too I trust...
Sarah - I would go to the reunion with your head held high. You are in a far superior relationship now and that crappy relationship is far, far behind you, thank goodness. Glad the retail therapy helped - well, of course it would!!!
Kmckee, welcome - seems silly to say as I know you well from the other thread, but do hang in there as others have said - PCOS doesn't rule anything out, so try to stay positive as much as you can on the run up to your appointment.
Hope everybody else is doing well, it certainly sounds like it has been a positive week so far emotionally so hopefully I'll join you in that state soon!0 -
Good morning ladies
Well dissappointingly AF arrived this morning, a little unexpected, but exactly on time for my original cycle length, so i suppose that is good news
Well the weather is gorgeous and we have a nice weekend planned so life is good, i am now just wondering if i should be making that appointment with the doctors? 18mths ttc, 6 mths since mc and bding at exactly the right times and around it well?? I will be 34 next month and don't want to bury my head or jump to any conclusions! Oh well i suppose i can try and just get on with something at work! lol!
Hope you are all doing well todayLeopardlady

I would say call the doctors and see what they say, Leopardlady. If they decide to wait a bit more, at least you put 'your case' forward and will know their opinion.
I am fed up today. I am cleaning the house, as mother in law is arriving tonight. I took a day off to sort everything out, as I knew we won't have enough time (or will) in the evenings and we haven't been at home for a single weekend since we went to visit my family, so haven't had a chance to do a big clean for over a month! I was asking OH to take a day off as well - he has 6 days to use till the end of the month, and he can carry 5 to the next holiday year. Well, yesterday I had a reply saying he is going to work. It is his mother that is coming and I am not on the best terms with her!!! Never mind, my work can wait - as long as I clean the house. If he cleaned anything in the past couple of weeks, I wouldn't be so upset, but he was 'busy' watching old episodes of 'West wing'. Oh well, better get back to cleaning. I still need to do a couple of hours work on my real work, as I was too depressed yesterday...
I am sure things will get better -won't they? Sorry for the rant...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
