I won, I won, I won! I've been Money Tipped!
hope you're feeling better soon QQuaver xxxx
  • Good luck for tomorrow Qq.x

Ju ju - hope you are ok. Take care of yourself.

Murray - when is your consultation? Its May isn't it?

So this month is our last month au natrele and I had planned to go for it hammer and tongs. BUT - due to Easter, a Royal Wedding - long trip to Wales I have not had time. Not even a droplet of grapefruit juice has passed my lips this month (and my EWCM is as abundant as ever btw). No acupuncture - not a single OPK peed on, and a folic acid taken when I remember and I forgot to take them for the 5 days in Wales. I feel a bit like I've let myself down. Last night we should have BD'd but I was too tired and had a headache. Still got some BD to do though the next 2 days.

Does anyone else feel like they let themselves down and they should have tried better? Am dreading the 2ww as I know it will be a fruitless one. Maybe its because we have been hard at it for the last 6 months and I am just a bit weary of it all. I haven't even checked the possible due date this month (if it were to be)

Sorry I'm having a bit of an off day. Need to find my mojo :(

As it is, with almost all these 'remedies' I can't help but think that the reason I am not getting pg is not due to my lack of bee pollen, Maca, coconut water, cough mixture, Chinese herbs or whatever..

They have all cottoned on to the fact that us ladies TTC will try ANYTHING and pay the earth for anything that has the slightest chance of giving us a baby.
My mum regaled me over the weekend about how her 20 a day habit plus litres of wine didn't stop her. Yeah thanks Mum. (She knows now BTW and I hope she keeps her mouth firmly shut after that unhelpful comment).

Anybody been watching Misbehaving Mums to be on BBC3. I want to throw my CBFM at the TV screen every time.:rotfl:

Poor you QQ sounds like you are having a rough time, hope the last shot is ok and no throwing up is involved.

CCM - don't beat yourself up wishing you could have tried better, sometimes life just gets in the way and if you have been doing constantly for 6 months you are allowed an off month, that mojo will come back.

Going back to work tomorrow - eek!. Already booked an appointment for next Wednesday to see another local fertility specialist who will look into my possible immune issues and works with the Lister Hospital in London. After speaking to my acupunturist I decided this is the best way forward and firstly I want to have my Natural Killer Cells tested. My current clinic is very old fashioned and will not even look into anything like this but I have a follow up appointment on 28th June.

    Toni - when is transfer???

Right, i've had a good ole search through my files, my IVF history is so long now I have most of it scanned to a memory card so I can just print our relevant parts when asked for it by anyone.
I don't seem to have a straightforard list of what tests we had, only the results sheets that came from the various labs that they went off to, it also doesn't say what tests are level 1/level 2. And i'm not sure that i've got all of the resulkts here either so I feel pretty useless right now!
However, I will publish what I have in the hope that it hekps someone, a little bit, maybe!
Also, this link may help some people, it shows a lady who was actually having recurrent miscarriage issues but the answer seems to be the same, immune problems and how she overcame them. http://www.repromed.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3587&KW=immune

Ok, my tests were Blood karyotype (for both me and DH)
    Antithrombin III level,
    Dilute Russel Viper Venom,
    Fibrinogen Level,
    Protein C Level,
    Plasma Total Protein S Level,
    INR,
    PTT,
    Lupus Screen,
    Factor V Leiden,
    MTHFR,
    Prothrombin 20210,
    Full Blood Count,
    Coagulation Profile,
    Anticardiolipin Antibodies.
They took approx 7 vials of blood for this lot (big ones!) and I had to lie down with a sweet drink for ages afterwards as I felt faint, but I am belenophobic and suffer low blood pressure and a slow heart rate so this was probably the cause.
I hope this helps, and if there is anything else you think I might know please ask, I know far too much about this whole rigmarole that I wish I didn't need to know, but if it helps someone else then I'm glad to know it.

CCM I watched a few it's the smokers that get me (I can say that as a high and mighty ex smoker have not have one for 10 years ;)) I hope you have a nice suprise this month if your not feeling too hopefull but don't be too hard on yourself if not I am sure we all had months we could have tried harder but this TTC is not easy when your at it for so long x x

Chickpea lots of luck for next Thurs but hope clomid does the trick. The bee pollen doesn't sound great I have cut back to just folic acid but I still might add bee pollen x x

QQ sorry your feeling poo hope your feeling better soon, when is OTD x x

Juju is it if you have high natural killer cells that stops embryo emplanting? Hope the appointment goes well Wed x x

Toniq hope treatment is going well x x

I have been looking through my IVF notes again and I got really annoyed my clinic said to me "Oooo you have a tilted uterus which could make ET a little tricky" but they have put down that I dont need a trial ET  I am bloody annoyed cos it did not go well and says in notes they had problems, I will be insisting on a trial next time at new clinic.

Hope everyone else is well and lots of babydust x x

Cross posted LW - Thank you so so much for this info that's a lot of blood needed!!

Lisa, thanks for the info there is a hell of lot of blood to be taken!

Nic - it could be that I have high levels of Natural Killer Cells that is preventing the implanting. I think it kinda implanted this time as I had all the symptons but maybe my cells killed it off. I am going to start of with this test first then go onto others if they come back normal.

Toni, not long to go, keep chin up and lots PMA.

I'm getting right back in the saddle and going full steam ahead!.

Good luck everyone, and get well soon QQ.

The bee pollen is new one! Think i'll stick to the old fashioned approach :D

OH is in the bad books for coming in smelling like an ashtray last night despite being under docs order to quit (he has low sperm motility). He's done really we'll i suppose, but i think after the initial few weeks he's finding it harder. Trying to give him the guilts without over doing it - he is trying.

    Baby dust to everyone xx
