hiya! I just posted on the other trying for a baby post but i just realised it should probably go here so heres my post copied and pasted!

Hi ladies... well.. im new here and dont know what to say!

I'm Lucy, i'm 24 and I have been trying to concieve since august 2009 (yup! 20 months!) for my 3rd child, i had a daughter in 2005 who sadly isnt with us as she was born an angel, she took no trying! I have a daughter who was born in may 2008 and is now approaching 3, she took about a year!
Since startint to try for a baby this time i have been diagnosed with polycystic ovaries, the doctors wont give me clomid and wont give me a reason why not! Been told to lose weight and referred to the fertility clinic (dont quite know what help theyre going to be!).

I dont have a cycle thanks to PCOS but i do have random AF every few months, ovulation sticks wont give accurate reading so theres no point in me using them.

Basically i just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope it happens!

Down in the dumps and just about ready to give up but got to keep going! So i will never have cycle updates for you but i will keep you entertained with my tales of obsessive pregnancy test talking! :rotfl:

    Hi and welcome:wave:

You'll fit right in here:o I have PCO too, not quite PCOS as I don't have other symptoms. I have about 9 cycles/year naturally, so I can relate to waiting for ov:o

You probably had PCOS all your life, but you got pg, you can do it again!:j
When will you see a fertility specialist?

Welcome Lullypops  Sorry to hear about your lack of a regular cycle. Maybe your Doc wants to make sure they've got to the root of the problem before (s)he prescribes clomid?? Sure you'll get some answers from the fertility clinic anyway.

Good luck Jiblets! How exciting to think that the arrival of a TTC 12m+ baby is imminent, it gives me hope :)

Also, exciting is the number of peeps having treatments at the moment and with appointments imminent...I cant keep up! (We do need that summary page). Fingers crossed it leads to plenty of BFP's.

Someone recently told me that they lost a stone in weight after they had an ovarian cyst removed which is making me even more eager to have my op asap! Bikini body here I come :D...I hope they didnt mean that their cyst weighed a stone, that would be disappointing :( and quite scary !

I had a massive cyst drained when I had my Salpingectomy, so when swelling and fluid retention has gone i'll be checking what the scales say!
Worryingly, just had a call from one of the nurses on the Gynae ward where I had my op. She said that the histology had come back from the 'structure' they removed during the op and that the results were not as expected (what the hell does that mean?!?)
She asked me to come in right away for blood tests or first thing in the morning and I agreed, but I was so flustered I didn't ask anymore questions. So now I am really worried what on earth they have found and what could they want with yet more of my blood. And if they want to take my blood pressure and they tell me 'it's a bit low' I might swing for someone! 80/53 isn't low ;-)

    Rant over

Not on the subject of TTC, but related.

Has anyone had a uterine artery embolisation for their fibroid? I am not TTC, but am aware that fibroids impact on conception and a number of you also have them. I have been offered one and am interested in experiences if anyone has had one?

    I also have PCOS!
