Bad but not unexpected news. The scan showed sac measuring 5+5 but no baby. I should be 6+6 today.

Supposed to be going to the States on Monday, no idea what to do now. They want me to go back for another scan in 10 days. Doesn't seem any point, just waiting for the inevitable. I really hoped this time we would have cracked it. Now I just don't know what to do. How can I have had one healthy baby and then four miscarriages? Why doesn't my body work any more?

Sarah, so sorry to hear that - 4 miscarriages is more than any person should have to bear. Was your trip to the states work or pleasure? Do you have insurance that would pay up if you dont go or postpone? I would get some advice from your GP on whether to go or not xxx

Sarah, I am so, so sorry. As has been said, are you sure your dates are correct? Did they see the sac in there? The only reason I ask as you were late before you got your BFP so could you have late implantation as well, and therefore not yet have a heartbeat? I dont want to raise your hopes unnecessarily, but with the timings being so close - they are only 7 days different, and are only an average measure anyway. At less than 6 weeks they cannot see a heartbeat, and they dont always until later. I would imagine the 10 days later scan is to follow this up and establish which way it is. Did they actually tell you that there was not hope? With America, how do you feel? If you feel that you can go, and your insurance will cover you if anything happens whilst you are there, I would be tempted to go if you feel you can - just take it easy on yourself whilst you are there.

As for me, I havent tested as I just dont feel pregnant! I will probably test in the morning as hubby is here, and I dont like to without him. And as you know my ovulation is well dodgy at the moment!!!

Anyways, have a good weekend, will let you know if I have a result, but please dont cross anything on my account, I dont want to be responsible for any missed chances!!!!

I have a horrible cough and cold and feel pretty rubbish, don't want to take anything to effect my growing eggs but had to take some cough mixture in the end.
