    Straws of sperm? That sounds really unappealing!

    Just had the date through for my first scan - April 8. So until then I will be happily unaware of whether I am going down my usual route of slow growth and then miscarriage, or whether we've finally cracked it.

    It's kind of fascinating how many of us there are with secondary infertility, after having a first baby with no problems. Maybe nature's attempt at population control...

    Juju, so freezing worked for your DH:cool:
    Come to think of it, I think my doctor said it won't work for IUI. I didn't ask about ICSI.

    Good luck Sarah:)

    Lisa
    (((hugs))).

    Been to the doctors, follicle is 13mm, and I should be oving around Monday (CD18) which is a record early ov without medication:cool: I think this exercise thingy is working. (I do realise I still have 7 cycles worth of Clomid in my system though:D)

    Last December I ov'd at CD26 (un medicated) after 5 Clomid cycles, so you can see it's pretty good:cool:

    Unfortunately DH is away Sun-Wed, so will try to squeeze one in on Sunday:o Will use Preseed for sure:cool:

    This early ov makes the chance for IVF next cycle difficult as I won't be here at CD1, but doctor gave me some progesterone tabs which will prolong LP by few days and make sure AF won't start until I'm back. This progesterone tabs are baby friendly so if I get pg this cycle, it won't harm it:)

    All in all, a good day:j

    Yes we have frozen sperm for ICSI. OH has it taken from him through a needle as we have problems otherwise. It has been fine through the thawing process and they have said that fresh or frozen makes no difference. We have 2 straws left and there are loads in each straw but they pick the healthiest one out of that straw.

    Good luck with the B'ding!!

  • Hi All,

    Good news on the scan Qq - just need to get your lucky BD in on Sunday now

    Good luck for your scan Sarah - I hope all is well in there - and hope the injections aren't too painful/uncomfortable.

    Chickpea - another 2WW. Hope this is your month and your party went well - and you bought lots of cookware - after all we seem to be the TTC thread with extra spending and mse going out the window :money::rotfl:

    Lilo - fingers crossed 2011 is the year for you - and for the rest of us.

    Hope everyone else is ok. Hugs to those that need them.

    I'm all booked in for acupuncture next week. I'm so changeable - I was all "I'm too scared of needles" but when I searched on acupuncture vs reflexology, acupuncture won the day. Plus its twice the price (and then some) and i will count that as my "big" af spend for March. Can't be left out now can I? :p

    Hi everyone, hugs and kisses to you all - I have read, and then promptly forgotten so all appropriate comments made! My balance has gone - apparently labyrinthitus? Cant drive, cant lay down! Its a virus in the inner ear and will take its own sweet time to go - I have tabs to help with the balance so hopefully they will help soon!!!

    One comment I do remember was the one about secondary infertility being natures birth control - my own view is that they saw how badly I was bringing up my son and decided it was better for everyone if I didnt have any more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Although I am going to quickly counter that by saying he is an absolute sweetie and a really nice lad - probably his nature rather than any input from me!)

    Have a good day folks - lilo

    So welcome to another 2ww! CD21 blood test at the hospital this morning.

    +++++

    We really are a bit garbage at moneysaving on here - hope we don't get booted off for setting a bad example..!

    My next AF present might be paying a cleaning firm to come in and do a 'deep clean' - that makes my house sound filthy, it's not, but I'd feel really good about a proper spring clean in all the nooks and crannies I rarely get to. Although we also have to pay for a new pane of glass in the conservatory thanks to a fallen roof tile - £350!

    So maybe I'll settle for something little, like some bath salts.

    I bought some Dead Sea salt this week for my childless friend who has just had a radical hysterectomy (putting my probs into perspective...she's in her 40's and now looking into adoption..) Anyway, salt helps wound-healing - so maybe it'd be a healthy thing to bathe in anyway?

    +++++++++

    I had acupuncture last night - reflexology on Monday - 2ww is best time for it. I read somewhere.

    ++++++++++

    QQ - there is often a boost to yr fertility when you come off Clomid - I've read about lots of folk who conceive on a Clomid-free month after 6 months taking the stuff. Here's hoping! I'm on 5th month of Clomid, so I might have a Clomid-free month myself after month 6.

    ++++++++++

    Lilo - you remind me of a friend of mine who has a 10 yr old and a 1 yr old. People just assume last one was either a mistake or a late decision - but she spent a full 8 yrs after having #1 (conceived easily) TTC#2. She had failed IVF, nothing worked, except going back on the pill for 6 months then coming off it again - she conceived first month after coming off it.

    +++++++++

    Party was fine, surprisingly. I didn't raise the subject of babies and neither did anyone else, much. I only stayed for a couple of hours and spent just enough to qualify for the free gift. I bought a cake tin and some other bakeware. I plan to get into tarts.

    ++++++++

    Lisa - sorry you are still having to go through this.

    Have a good day!
