OOhhhhh runner runner runner that's great great news!!! The only way it could be incorrect is if you have had HCG shots DURING the 2WW (I have had this treatment in the past) BUT I am sure that you would have mentioned if so and would be aware of their implications.
Fantastic news for you honey, am so chuffed, a BFP is a great boost for everyone, and a wonderful thing for you of course!!
We had a 2 blast transfer yesterday, one fully expanded blastocyst and one standard one, we also had 2 more that were blasts but not quite up to freezing, am not going to need them am I ladies?!?!?!
So now on the 2ww testing on 28th which is DH's 36 birthday. Good omen?!?!
    Have a great day ladies.

I have had the extra shot pregnayl on my first go and the pessaries on my second go, does anyone know which one is best after transfer??. I am not keen on the pessaries as they are so messy but I will go with whatever is best really.

During our last 2ww we had the gestone injections, hcg injections and the pessaries, BFN, this time we have Crinone gel and the pessaries, who knows if it makes a difference or not as we have so many probs and so many BFN's.
I do not find the pessaries messy at all, but they do go in the errrm other end so nothing comes out. My clinics have always said it doesn't matter which they go in, and as we have the crinone gel this time (which has to go in the front) I get one of each! Yuk.
At mine you always get the oessaries no matter what as an also, I believe

  • Hi everyone, posted a few times - bit of a lurker really - congrats runnerduck, such promising and hopeful news for everyone else.

I am now on second month of Chlomid - tested positive for second time with digital ovulation kit on valentines day - so fingers crossed it's worked this month, AF due 1st March!!!

No really horrid side effects from the chlomid apart from quite tedious headaches for the 5 days I was taking them.

I turned 30 last month, hubby is 37. He has 3 kids from his last marriage, and so this has to work for us as IVF wouldn't be funded.

Adoption agency turned us down last year for 2 reasons, first was the breakdown of his first marriage - how did they know it wouldn't happen again (I have this in writing). Second was my difficulty with conceiving, even though I underwent counselling for them, and did all the fertility investigations, they thought that as there was a chance we could have a child naturally, that we may one day decide we didn't want the adopted child! Honestly!!!!

  • Lisawood - good luck with the 2ww it sounds really promising. Have everything crossed for you :)

Chocolate Cookie Monster - :rotfl: Why did you get dressed in the dark ? Zitastic :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Runnerduck - I totally understand the need to test again, I could see myself testing right up to delivery day ;)

Snoopytweety - Hello. I am so shocked that the adoption agency treated you like that - I know that they can be invasive but in real life marriages do break up that doesn't mean there aren't still two parents. And regarding being able to conceive well thats just ridiculous - why would you go through the process of trying to adopt, fall in love with a child and then want to give up on it!Perhaps this has happened to them but it feels very harsh - especially after you went through counselling. I hope the clomid works for you. There are still other options ivf privately for example and some clinics offer an egg exchange (although I know very little about that). Best of luck.

    You have had it all.

Perhaps if I have the pesseries again I will put them up the other end all the time - errrr - what a job.

Af has arrived today so have contacted the clinic and waiting for a call back. Still got to wait till Easter for EC but hoping this can be brought forward, so frustrated want to get on with it.

Thanks everyone so much for the warm welcome and the reassuring words. I felt so much more positive today and just want the doc appointment to come round so we can get the ball rolling. :)

It sounds like many of you have lots going on at the moment (not sure what all the abbreviations stand for yet) so wishing you all well in the next steps of your journey!

Since you are still young, perhaps you could donate your eggs and get a free IVF?
