    Hi Everyone,

Been lurking for a while but finally plucked up the courage to post and introduce myself. Hubby and I been trying to conceive since August 09 with no success whatsoever. I'm finally plucking up the courage to go to the doctors next week after yet another disappointment - scared stiff about what lies ahead but realise that we're going to have to do something if we ever want to have a baby. I will be 36 in a few months time and am constantly thinking that it's too late for me. :(

Reading about your experiences has given me a little bit of hope and it was wonderful to come on today and find that there has been a BFP for Runnerduck - Congratulations! :j

Hi mnc, welcome  Don't worry about the road ahead, its very different for everyone and often its the simplest little bit of help thats needed to get the bean to stick ;) Your doctor will simply get the first set of tests underway and hopefully refer you to a fertility specialist fairly soon.

When do they start your IUI tests - are you on about CD8-9ish now?
I'm CD7. I have the scan to see if there's any follicles worth doing the IUI for on Tuesday (CD12):)
I'm CD13, and OPK line remains dark without it being a +ve.

That means we're still on duty when we're staying with friends in London. Oh joy - that means I'll have to deploy the bathtowel on the floor and the chair against the door..!
    Good luck with that:p

    Welcome mnc.

I have also been trying a similar time to you, I first went to the docs in Oct 10 and they were really good and we had tests and were referred straight away. I found it a huge relief to get the professionals involved although very nervewrecking due to the amount of tests and questions.

But try not to be too scared.

PS - what is it with the amount of celebrities announcing they're PG at the moment. Another in the paper today. Sheesh.

  • CD20 today and I have broken out in spots all over my chest. I wouldn't mind but I am wearing a low cut (not too low) top to work today and I just went to the ladies room and  (I got dressed in the dark this morning) Never had this before. The joys of not being on the pill. I look like a teenager again. Zitastic!!!

OOhhhhh runner runner runner that's great great news!!! The only way it could be incorrect is if you have had HCG shots DURING the 2WW (I have had this treatment in the past) BUT I am sure that you would have mentioned if so and would be aware of their implications.
Fantastic news for you honey, am so chuffed, a BFP is a great boost for everyone, and a wonderful thing for you of course!!
We had a 2 blast transfer yesterday, one fully expanded blastocyst and one standard one, we also had 2 more that were blasts but not quite up to freezing, am not going to need them am I ladies?!?!?!
So now on the 2ww testing on 28th which is DH's 36 birthday. Good omen?!?!
    Have a great day ladies.
